What does it mean when you feel sad inside
I'm only 11 years old and I'm get sad and angry all the time. It's not PMS because I don't have mine yet. When I think of my family it's like I'm ignored and unappreciated. My mom likes my sister more. My older sister never comes see me when she comes from work. I get yelled at a lot. I feel trapped. I need help. I can't talk to nobody because I feel unimportant. I feel like killing myself and my family won't notice. I just can't take it anymore. Please help me release this hatred in me!

How many sisters and how old are all of you?

What kind of things do you get yelled at about?

Nobody is unimportant. You are important and deserve to feel better about yourself and your family.

I am sure we can find some answers for you

Another consideration is that even though you don't have yours yet, your body is still growing and changing and preparing for you to do so.

When was your last check up?

Your physical condition may be involved.

@Martin Not sure. I just know that I haven't got it.

@KitKat I don't feel like I'm involved in many things with my family including my mom. She only makes things worse for me. She makes me feel like I'm just a piece of dirt and hoping that I grow to be a flower that blossoms when my time comes.

Well.. I can tell you this at eleven I was a mess. Thinking my mom hated me. She didn't and your mom doesn't hate you. Maybe you feel sad because you think you're not pretty. I'll bet you are? Maybe you're starting Middle School and you're worried about that. What is the worst thing you fear?

Well about my weight. But that's not my only problem. My older sister(gladis) whenever she had the chance she would come over to my house but ever since she left my other older sister's (karla) house (she lived there) she never bothered to say hi or give me a hug. My niece (Georgina 12 yrs) goes to middle school now and Gladis only come to my house when georgina came. She loves her more than me! I don't even want to live anymore if I can't be loved!

You are loved. Family members have enough love to around. Just because you think they don't show you enough doesn't mean they don't.

I will tell you this Iwas overweight at your age. Try to lose it by walking a eating right. Don't starve yourself. Get some confidence. It's not how you look that counts, but how you feel about yourself and I think you feel really bad about yourself. Why

    Hi Leslie,

Kit asked if I would also talk to you. I'm 28 now, and remember how difficult it was to be your age. Kit might be right that at age 11 you may be going into middle school. Those can be hard years, with kids not being very nice all the time.

A couple of things for you to know. There is someone in your life that wants to help you. Have you tried to talk to your mom? Is she stressed in her life and not listening? Do you have an aunt or a grandparent that you can talk to? A favorite teacher or a counselor at school? Are you in school now or out for the summer?

Everyone blossoms in their own time. You will find what is important to you, but it takes time. You will learn ways to deal with your anger, sadness, emotions - but you have to calm down now and let us help you find something that will help. There are many ways to do it if we can get to know you a little better.

You are probably scared and worried about your life. Do you have friends? Are you being bullied in any way?

Tell us some of the things you enjoy. Do you like school?

Thanks! Well I always thought of myself to be not perfect. My hair wasn't perfect my eyebrows were too big. My eyelashes were too long. So I decided to cut them off. But nobody said nothing they would just laugh. I wanted my mom to appreciate me if I did some cleaning but I would always do something wrong. She would would say that "I hate your attitude. Why can't you be a normal girl?" I cry when she would say that. My sister (Denise) would always fall right into her heart while I just sit in cage. I can't really talk to nobody with my issues because they're all focused on my niece (Georgina) who thinks she's "depressed". Look at me and shout to my mind. Nobody bothers to help me free myself to the real world. I suffer from anger and sadness all around me but help may never come.

Well you this, I've said to my kids when they were teenagers; "Lose the Attitude". That didn't mean I hated them. I would get upset because sometimes I felt like there weren't enough hours in the day to give each one the attention they deserved. Tell Mom how you feel. Tell your sisters how you feel. Tell us why you are in such pain at 11 years old.

@Just Looking" Not really though because of the boys who think I'm overweight.

@KitKat:I have friends but they think I'm not cool enough to tell me their secrets and stuff. I only have one best friends and she lives in Mexico. Though we only see each other once a year.

Georgina is getting help because she asked for it. Are you suffering in silence? Have you told your mom how you feel?

There aren't too many 11 year olds who feel confident about themselves. I had red hair, was always the tallest girl in my class, and I was too smart. I learned how to make the most of myself and you will too. Boys can be mean, and lots of times they are mean to girls they like. They don't know how to act yet.

Moms can be critical without even realizing what they are doing. They can be especially hard on their daughters.

Have you ever kept a journal of how you feel?

Actually she never asked. If I tell my mom she would just say "You're being stupid. Just forget about it."

I'm like tall too and too smart and wear glasses but with longish brownish hair.

Well I have dairies and they say things from 3 or 4 grade. I usually write things that don't matter to most people. I also have a dream journal. But it turns out that it's a story about a teen who gets stuck in the middle of a relationship. It's called "Typical Teen Life"

It sounds like your mom is busy and stressed in her own life. I still think she would want to know how you are feeling.

Smart is a great thing to be. When you are younger it's hard to realize it because it does make you seem a little different from everyone else, but every year older you become the more you will appreciate it and the more others will appreciate it. I think I really became comfortable with being smart when I started high school.

It also sounds like you enjoy writing. I also enjoyed that. Writing is a great outlet for your feelings.

You are going to be glad you're smart. Most kids thinks it's cool to be smart. You're tall and who knows, someday you could be a model or a famous writer. God doesn't make junk Leslie. There is a purpose for you in life. Be proud, standd tall and see if what we've told you is true.

Yes. I stay home with my sister (Dense) until mom comes home which is until 3:30. I use my time to clean around the house but Denise just sleeps until like 11:00 in the morning. I however like waking up early but around 8 or 9. But when mom and dad don't work we go to yard sales and the store and flea market. I'm fond with my dad. I'm the one who looks like my dad a lot and the only one with straight hair in the family. I'm unique in my own way.

They sound like happy tears. I'm glad. That will help get some of your sadness out. Cry when you need to, but also find ways to laugh - jokes, funny people, movies. They will all help to lift your spirits.

I think you are just at an age where you are beginning to question things and starting to figure out who you are. That takes time. I think I'm only now really understanding myself, though it gets easier every year from your age on. You start figuring out what you are good at, who are your friends, what is important in life. It can be hard, but it's also really rewarding.

I also need to make things last before I turn 18 which is hard. Though making sure I feel comfortable with the surroundings around me makes me feel like I'm just one person with one mind.

Have you talked to your dad about how you feel? I was really close to my dad and went to him often.

Are you allowed out of the house while your parents are at work? I'm wondering if you can do something in your yard.

I'm not sure what you mean. Can you explain this?

I was just thinking that I was 11 when I really started reading everything I could get my hands on. I read a book a week, at least - and they were novels, not kids' books. I wonder if you might enjoy that since you like to write and you are smart. It really opens your eyes to what is out there in the world.

Good for you. After reading over this thread, I think you are a little bored with it being summer and you are stuck in your house. You'll be back in school in a month or so. Maybe you can take this feeling with you. Spend some time reading in the next month. Think about what you want. Write, write, write. Maybe when you start school, you can find a teacher or counselor to share your thoughts with - I had some of the best teachers, and I can tell you they love kids like you who are smart and can write. Do really well in school and the world is wide open with opportunities.

Well I believe in the Holy Spirit. There are no such things as ghost. I think sometimes when we are hurt our mind can make us see or hear things. I was taught at a very young age about God and Jesus. I also was taught about Satan.

God is kind and he loves us. He could make us do what he wanted if he chose but he doesn't he gives us a free will to choose which path to take.

Satan is a deceiver... he doesn't have the power God has. He can't make us do anything he wants us to do, he tempts us and we can either resist or give in. When you hear these voices and they make you feel angry I can tell you this... say the name of the lord and pray a lot and read your Bible. See if it doesn't give a peace in your heart.
