I'm taking melatonin to 're-set my sleep cycle', according to the pharmasist.

But nothing can stop the effects of a full moon.

People are just a little more nuts than they usually are. Present company excluded of course!

I am hiding out under my bed for the next 24 hours. I have my pillow and my puppy and my pepsi and my paper and my pepperoni pizza.

Anyone wanting to join me, let me know, I'll grab another pillow.

... I see Zombies staggering up and down the street through my extended telescope, and they look really hungry... all the lights are out everywhere, and the coyotes and wolves are howling.

Bats are flying around and I hear no birds... windows are smashing, cars are starting by themselves, and the Zombies seem to be walking... up... my... driveway...

Got to go... back under the bed for me until the sun comes up...

Silly Jake. If the zombies are coming, you fill the bathtub with water, the gun with ammo, and you take out the stairs. Zombies can't climb.

OK, so why do you fill the tub with water? They can't get wet?

You need to make sure you have drinking water to last out the siege.

Interesting about the bathtub theory. That makes sense.

Did not know Zombie's could not climb. Perhaps I should move my roost to the top of the house?

    Got to go...

    Big Auntie

Looks like I came upon this pretty late in the game, but I used to work the swing and graveyard shifts of a medical answering service. We could tell just by the phone calls we got what stage the moon was in! We received a MUCH higher percentage of calls to the OBs for women in labor (or delivering in their cars); lots of mentally ill patients calling for their doctors and therapists - many of them in full paranoia and hysterical; etc. Sometimes after about an hour of such calls we would send someone outside to check, and sure enough it would be a full moon. Harvest moons were especially powerful.

I can always tell when it's a full moon, Big Auntie! Thanks for your affirmations here!

    Auntie, you are so right.

The worst of human behaviour would show. More batterings, more emergency calls, more problems of all descriptions.

It sort of snuck up on you. The day would start normally, and by noon you wanted to stick needles in your eyes and jump off the nearest building. And then we would realize why- full moon.

I seem to have more energy a few days before a full moon, then after a full moon, I'm super tired, but that could be just me. I'm sure I'll sleep well now that the Zombies have moved out of the neighbourhood.

Beware, they can hear you breathe. They lay in wait and are hungry which makes them even nastier and more savage. The full moon is waning so only a day or so and then you have the entire month to enjoy without fear. Until...
