Even if you were more specific about exactly where on your right side, this would be tough to come up with all the possibilities. Gall bladder might be the most common (after simple muscle strain of course - I get side 'stitches' all the time as do many people). Gall bladders can hurt front or back or both, sharp or dull, acute or chronic, and I suppose a stone blocking flow of bile could vary depending on your position. Also on the right is the pyloric valve between the stomach and the intestine. See a doctor. There's also referred pain, or something rare.

I suggest a site where MDs are on to chat for a fee, since you couldn't be bothered to mention your gall bladder removal, still haven't pinpointed the pain better, and left an unhelpful to boot.

Only a Physician can diagnose. It is foolish and dangerous to diagnose over the Internet, particularly when it appears that all the facts are not posted.

The only thing to do is to actually visit a doctor in person. Not a MD site, and not any question and answer site. You need to get seen by a medical doctor to determine what is going on. Whether it is anything to worry about or not. How long has it been going on for, could be anything under the sun.

So good luck at a doctors appointment and hopefully there this can get resolved.
