Hi everyone, with me it hereditary, from my Grand dad, all my uncles have it, it's not effected the girls, just the boys, if I was a dog, I'd be put out of my misery...
I'm glad your brought up your old post. The last 2 years have been increasingly tough for me too, with more and more generalized pain, and very specific increase in pain in 3 areas. I won't go into them. I will tell you one thing that has helped me.
I found that a memory foam mattress was no longer enough softness. First I bought an air mattress ($15 from amazon) and put it on top, and spend months adjusting the amount of air. Basically, I need it to be only about 1/4 inflated. Then, because it kept slipping off the memory foam, I bought a twin air mattress with built in pump for $38. It's at least 16" tall. It has a raised edge, so the smaller top mattress nests inside it and doesn't slip. Both needed airing out to get rid of the PVC (plastic) smell. I cover the top in a thick mattress pad too. Yours might cost more because I already had a pump for the little mattress. The bigger mattress should be very fully inflated, and because the vinyl expands, you need to keep it plugged in to add air periodically at first.
Anyway, it helps a lot. THC candies help, if someone can get them for you, or you live in a state that allows medical cannabis.
OH - and HEAT. I sit on a heating pad even on the hottest summer days.
I have bought one of those pulse chairs, with heat, it has 3 settings, that roll up and down my back, to relax my muscles, sometimes I have to sit on a cushion, so that it goes low enough to reach the base of my spine, after about half an hour, my muscles relax, or the machine switches off, when my muscles are relaxed enough, do you suffer the same conditions as me? I hope you are pain free...
Hello again everyone, my pain is quite bad at the moment, but I think it's because of the damp chilly weather, what I didn't post was, when then took 2 disc's out of my neck, because I had a spur, a bit of bone, pressing on my spinal cord, but my sister noticed, that when we were out walking, I was dragging my right leg, when I'm tried, I wonder if I have had a slight stroke?.
We can't know why you are dragging one leg. I drag the leg that won't bend. Walking requires that you actually lift one knee a little.
Only testing and an exam by a doctor can tell if you had a stroke.
There are other conditions such as Parkinson's that can start that way.
You went for a WALK? I can't. Of course I live on a steep hill in a very rural area. I could walk around a flat town a bit.
Remember, HEAT and warmth and gentle movement, frequently.
