I think that it would be worth a try on a thread on this site!

If I can write sheet music, post it and have a way for people to be able to listen to it and/or print it out and play it, and you math people can post your fancy mathematical diagrams, explaining your brilliant answers, I'm sure that we can find a way to be able to have one or more games of chess on this site!

Trolls? We'll, the threads could be pre-arranged games with someone so that the threads wouldn't appear to be questions. Someone not knowleadgeable enough about the game of chess would also probably not be that likely to post on the threads.

Someone making intelligent comments on them, I think, might be beneficial to one or the other player, or perhaps both, though.

    Thanks!

I think I'll start a thread about it... we're hi-jacking this thread

    What about the 'Lounge'?

Why not in the Games forum topic area?

I was going to try to post an example of a game here where everything could be seen in an image. But, for the particular site that I had in mind to use, I lack the proper plugin!

Yes, maybe the Games section would be better...

I was thinking that since KISS could play over the phone, it'll be quite easy to play over the net.

You can say for example: Pawn d5 to move a pawn to the tile d5

Yes, describing the moves would work!

I'm trying to find an example game set-up for a visual. But, that's probably not going to be happening just yet...

So where do we go for that sheet music you were discussing? The Lounge? (I'm SO much better at sheet music than chess.)

Yes, I know what you are thinking about... If I had the images, the images of the pawns, king, queen, etc and the board, I could make the image each time... that'll be quite time consuming, but not impossible.

Please click on the following link about chess. Images from it would work on this site.

Chess Game for two players. Play online chess free, rules set by game.

If you click on the board, I think that it gets a lot bigger. However, I'm lacking the proper plugin. Very old machine here...

Most of them were in the Writing or Music forum topic areas. When people want to be able to write music of any kind, I've generally led them to the Writing forum topic area, because I can moderate things there.

Is that the game from the site to which I posted a link?

Yup, I modified the images so that I can manipulate them more easily. :)

Oh, it's only an image. I can modify the image to suit whatever I want it to be like.

What image editor are you using, please?

I don't know if you know it, but it's GIMP. Some use photoshop, but I had gimp already on my computer when installed Linux, instead of paint on Windows.

EDIT: Okay, I need to go now. See you later! :)

I don't know the first one. I had that on my test and my teacher makes us redo the questions we got wrong. The answer to the second one is 25 cm. The area to a rectangle is A=LW. The area is 125 and the length is 5 times the width. So 125=5w(w)
One of my answer choices was 5 so I just worked backwards. If w=5, then the length is 25 because 5 times 5 is 25. If the width is 5, then 25 times 5 is 125 which is your area. So Your answer is, the length equals 25cm.
