Because you can be invisible, which reads 'user offline' and still be using the website.

    It's a choice offered.

Do you mean when members are offline but still appear to post, it means they've gone into options and have turned on invisibility, the members here each use it for various reasons :)

Edit. It says I don't have permission to access that page.

    Link didn't work?
Or did it say you didn't have proper access?

Strange if it's the latter it hasn't been removed and there isn't really anything that went on in there

Anyhoo see if you can get to it through looking up the threads I've started 'accessed via my profile' its called "why so invisible"
(p.s id recently watched batman : the dark knight and 'why so serious' was in my head so I swapped serious with invisible, just a bit of useless knowledge there for you :D)

Hmmm I don't get why you wouldn't have permission, unless your not a qualified enough member maybe you need to be full  don't know sorry
Anyhoo I tend to show when I'm online unless I'm purposefully avoiding people, which is a rarety in itsself let alone posting as well to show I'm actually there anyway, posting while invisible doesn't really make sense to me, but reasons I remember is that when people leave they forget to log off and people still think they're there so they go invisible so that when they actually go they won't show as online, (but what I don't get is that people who know thy do that would still talk to them anyway if they didn't relise theyd gone ) I'm quite confused whan I think about this topic lol :D

I was able to read but I think I might know why you couldn't access it.

Maybe the reason is that the thread was placed under Active Members forum and I believe you have to have 200+ posts to go to that forum and you have only 162 posts.

Not sure if that is the reason but it's a thought. Does it say I am offline or invisible?

I'm invisible because I often forget to log off.

I'd leave the computer, still logged on, forget, come back 10 hours later with 30 PM's from people asking why I haven't responded to their question.

This is just easier. Now if I forget, no one knows whether I'm here or not.

Also, I can spy on all of you and you don't know it. ;)

Yup. Only members with 200 + posts can access the active members forum.

If you choose invisible mode it shows up Invisible for you but Offline for everyone else.

That's not entirely true, the 'members watching' bit at the bottom still ounts you it just doesn't say your name, so if we know you online just being invisible we can still hazard a guess that its you ;)

I like to be seen online.

    I'm an attention seeker.

    Look at me.

    Please.
