    Canadian style. Check it out.
I love the castle but it needs a complete overhaul so we're moving out for the time being.

I decided to give you all a taste of Canada, so pack your bags, the tickets have been bought, get your arses over here. :)

We're doing it Canadian style. Not my neck of the woods, but the true Canada, the one that all you Americans think we live in. ;)

There are Igloos for everyone, some are equipped to handle a large group so choose your partner and snuggle up.

Don't eat the penguins, they're friendly. The polar bears won't come near the site if you make lots of noise, so hoot and holler.

We're not going to hunt the seals, they're too cute, so I built a restaurant out of ice that will serve us all our dietary needs.

There are parkas, scarves, mittens, hats, snow pants, long underwear and boots that are good for up to -30C. Let's hope we don't get to that temp, otherwise we'll all be cuddling. Wait... is that a bad thing? ;)

We're going to have a blast. Just make sure to bundle up.

I'm glad you like it Unky.

Now, before you go to bed make sure that you're bundled up. ;)

Actually, Igloos are very warm inside, even though they're made of snow, which is cold, they really do keep the heat. I've only been in one that we made, which wasn't built to code, but it was really nice and warm. Heck, we even had to take off our coats because we were getting too hot.

The hole in the top is a smoke hole, because you can build a fire inside. No worries, it won't melt. I had a professional build these babies. :)

Great! I don't even need that air conditioner! :D

Wait, we're in Canada and it isn't as hot as in Mauritius... Oops :o

I made a little typo over there, editing now.

No, I don't want to get eaten. I just want to be not bored. And to go eat. The second is easier to accomplish since the library is closing in about 3.79864 minutes.

There is an ice restaurant. I'll meet you at the bar, we'll have nachos and beer. :)

Do I have to watch out for caribou stampedes? We had a woman in a town near here who was trampled by a herd of deer. Downtown.

The deer here are reindeer, we're looking after them for Santa, so they'll be here for a few weeks.

OMG! Christmas is in a few weeks!

And it's really looking like Christmas at my house right now, at least outside.

Snow blizzard yesterday, 6 foot snow drifts today. The kids are loving it, I am not.

In around 1 hour I'm going outside to shovel snow. :(

Well that sucks, couldn't you just get the kids to start a snowball fight with the neighbours across the road, I'm sure all you snow would go eventually :D

It's too cold for snowball fights. :(

The snow only sticks together when it's above -5 C. If it's colder then that then the snow won't stick together. No snowmen, no igloo's, no snowball fights, just shoveling.

Wait, isn't that why I had kids, so I wouldn't have to shovel snow or mow the lawn?

JARED!! SYDNEY!! Get your snow gear on and grab a shovel! :D

    LOL! Jared and Sydney?

Sydney got her gear on and started to shovel. She came in 5 minutes later with rosy cheeks, wet mittens and soaking wet socks.

    I asked her what happened. Her response;

"Um, well, there was a pile of snow, it was really tall, I wanted to see if it was taller then me so I jumped in. It was taller then me."

    So I asked if she shoveled any snow. Her response;

"I was going to but I couldn't get out of the pile I jumped in to. When I finally got out I was cold and wet so I came in. Can't Jared do it, or Daddy, or you? I'm little".

It's really hard to argue with an adorable 7 year old with rosy red cheeks and wet socks.

I made her hot chocolate with little marshmellows on top.

    I'm a bad mom. :(

The thing is, it's true. I looked outside, saw the hole, the little hand prints from Sydney digging herself out.

    I laughed myself silly. :D

    Awesome Idea, and great start.

We need all the warm we can get. Considering it is going to dip to -30 tomorrow night.

Yes, spell of cold, wintry blizzards have hit but within another week we should be in the warm Chinook weather again.

Joe, why do we live in Alberta again? I ask myself that every year.

I was close to convincing hubby to move to Hawaii. We could live on the beach, the kids could collect coconuts and I'd make grass skirts and coconut bras to sell to the tourist. Life would be simple, and warm. ;)

Lol, Used to all the winter. Seems does not matter where I live in Canada. East Coast, Central Canada or Alberta. We can swallow a good snowstorm. As long as I am not driving in it, I love it. Yes, very much colder then Ontario, very much windier but still loving it all the same. I am predicting summer whether on Christmas day, hope it is not just for Toronto but for us here. Would be awesome. Lol

I am a strange Canadian. I would prefer the cold and mild temps to the hot hot weather in the south.

Are those coconuts or something else?

Stop looking at my coconuts you silly boys! ;)

I totally thought I'd have to find a link for you so you'd know who I was talking about.

What was that birds name? Zazu?

I also love the "Are you achen, for some bacon?" song that Pumba and Timon sang. :)
