:) Hi friends I was like to see the real name of you because I was like to see what are the real name friends.
My username is my real name, Rick.
My last name is Jackobovichinski ;)
Umm, What does it matter? One of the advantages of cyberspace is its anonymity. Frankly I think it rude to ask people to reveal any personal info about themselves.
And if you want people to do this, don't you think you should have offered yours first?
I value my privacy.
I am he as you are me,and we are all together...
"Goo Goo Ga Joob......"
Sorry John. :o
This is the correct answer.Quote:

I am Sam.
Sam I am
Mine is in my signature, so no privacy there :p
I'm Erika. :)
I probably do that too.Quote:

Just call me tawanda!!
Chris,
You also list your date of birth. It wouldn't take me long to figure out. I'm just saying this for your privacy. Then again I'm that guy that doesn't give out his phone number at stores when I pay cash. :D
You want my Social Security number too?
Um... why most of your fellows-indians(in india) like to PM me about my degree and job information?
Now one of you is asking for names?
Go mind your own business!
I'm with you; I've already been threatened twice on this site. One person tried to pretend they knew where I lived, said I mentioned it already. Sorry not that stupid. That's why I never specifically say where I am or my age. So would I give out my name? Not unless I suffer some severe mental debilitation.Quote:

Good advice from Scott, and Need.Never never give out exactly where you live.A lot of us regulars have been on AMHD for a few years, and have seen examples of being "too open".
I live in the UK.That's all folks... :D
Michigan is big so I doubt he would be tracked down or something. But how much do you want to bet he is probably like my neighbor
Haha, that would be so weird. There's already another guy nammed chris, and when we were in high school, our parents (which we lived with, so, I guess us too) had the same phone number all but for ONE digit. Of course, one number was right under the other, so we would occasionally receive each other's phone calls.Quote:

I agree with ScottGem,Labman, templelane and NK,
I value my privacy
and except for my husband non of my family knows I am on this site helping out or getting helped.
I demand my cyber space(Is this a trick question?? )
My real name is my user name backwards, Nihcupac. Don't ask me how to pronounce it.
Another point here is the OP just joined the site last month and had all of a dozen posts before this one.. Takes a bit longer to make real friends, especially in cyberspace.
Ive made so many friends on this site :)
My real name is Ashley. But I'm not really worried about someone searching through the 45 billion other females in the US with that name. I use a different username at every forum/online community I belong to also. I always hope people have good intentions, but I am sometimes proven wrong, so we have to stay safe. :)
All my info use to be on this site but I removed some things least I think so like my city and last name but it wouldn't be too hard to fine. I only use 2 usernames on the internet and I'm sure if you went to every site and read my profile, you would be able to find out my exact location. And I do not feel scared for my safety or anything. I never get any threatening messages, the only spam I have gotten off this site was a girl asking for my email so she could send porn pictures. Aside from that I get no spam

She is only 11
Thanks Tal,
Lalla,
I do think you should not give out any personal information on these public forums, it is for your safety.
As you are only 11, I do think you will have a lot more to explore than being on the net making new friends with people whom you cannot verify to be good or bad people.
It OK to exchange information and learn new things, but try not to give out personal information or ask too personal questions unless someone offers that information on their own.
Take care and be careful while on the net.
And here I was thinking that capuchin was a species of monkeyQuote:

Because anyway, we give out our names to anyone we talk to in person, so what's the danger in giving a first name to someone who only knows that you live in western australia?
My name is sean, and I don't care even if sum1 does track me down.
Edit- though I should prob use a diff username each site I'm on, but I don't have the time to memorise that many names.
Not to offend anyone, but my real name is known to maybe less than a dozen on the site. Not I think I will be subject to a stalker but I don't like any open doors when I am not the one opening them.
It does happen, I have always been very open, and decided to keep my user name the same over the last 10 years on various question and answer sites. It has even somewhat given me some level ( small) of fame by people who reconise my name or even face as I travel around the county.
But it can have its issues, most know my somewhat slightly right wing view points on many subjects, well I have had hate mail sent to my home and church, even people who have left items in my mail box in front of my home.. And of course I win millions of dollars every day, and have dozens of girls of week wanting me. ** get a lot of junk mail by having a link to a email address ( that is used mostly for junk)
Sorry to hear that.Quote:

Don't be hating, all we need is love.
:)
My name is Nunya... Nunya bidness.
Thanks for pointing that out Tal.
Since its pretty obvious what my first name is, I don't need to provide it. But I don't agree that just revealing first names is that innocuous. The more info one revelas the easier you make it for abusers.
