I never know what to say to people in that situation. I am the worst for showing human compassion.

Yeah, I can be too. I pretty much told him not to turn out like emopunk7 and posted links to his old threads. I told him to read them and learn what NOT to do.

Anyone know any good cures for itching? No don't say calamine lotion, because I don't have any!! I'm ITCHY!!!!

Take an oatmeal bath. Just throw some oatmeal in a warm bath and soak for as long as you want. Just be sure to drain the water VERY carefully so you don't clog the drain.

Bella, take a dryer sheet and rub it on your body and then put it in your pocket. It will help keep any biting bugs off you.

Ohh thanks Stringer! I am going to try that.

Some bugs don't like dryer sheets. Some can't stand the smell of vanilla.

I use vanilla oil when I know I'm going to be in a bug-infested area. It's not perfect, but it does repel some of the bugs. Standard bug sprays make me nauseous, so vanilla my next-best option.

Or you can walk around with one of those citronella candles. Those always get so gross too.

    EDIT:
    Here's a cool link

Ther's products for outdoors, and you should read the wiki, it's interesting.

Wow good to know that you shouldn't use it on kids under 3, also good to know you can grow it yourself. Wow. I am totally going to check that out.

I'm glad it helped. If you have any solarcain, that might help your back.

    Sure fire cure for a sunburn;

    1 cup honey
    1 tsp margarine/butter
    1-10 beer
    1 slice of bread.

First you toast the bread, add margarine then honey. Grab a beer, sit, eat, drink, and stop whining about your sunburn! ;) Giggle. :)

Oatmeal works, but mine is more fun. :)

LMAO! Alty. I was talking about my bug bites. I hear vinegar is good for sun burn too.

Ohso, you I was talking about citronella. Looks like you can grow it in with your grass! I am so giving that a try.

My recipe also works for bug bites, only difference is that you pour the honey on yourself, eat the toast with just butter and drink around 5 extra beers. :)

While the toast sounds absolutely delicious, I've had sunburns that made sitting a non-option. Hell, I've had sunburns that made clothing a non-option for almost a week.

    Poison ivy on lips. OUCH!

Sounds like you sure do work hard there nurse J. For some reason now, every time I think of nurses I think of nurse Jackie, and it's funnier because your nurse J... I love that show [Nurse Jackie].

I haven't been able to see Nurse Jackie yet. I want to, but am always too busy.

Rae has had poison ivy spreading lately. Went to the docs the other week and got a script for it. It's gone on her legs and arms, but now on her lips and neck.

She gets it if she even thinks about it... if the wind blows she gets it.

Eesh! I'm lucky enough to have never experienced that! Poor Rae. I hope she gets better quick!

Is there anything that can protect you when you go outside, like a lotion or cream? So if you come across it, it won't well do what it does?. hmm

Ooh I heard on the news that some/most sunblocks actually cause cancer not prevent it:confused:
