Had to get an alligator snapping turtle out of the back yard this morning. A young one, only about a foot in diameter. Now that was a pain. Trying to move the thing without touching it, ugh.
So we finally get the darn demon spawn in a bucket and there's a red ear slider in the drive way. No big deal, just a slider, try and move it so we can relocate the alligator snapper and the darn thing tries to attack me. So here I am, being chased in circles by a red ear slider. Yeah, O', fine. According to my husband that darn red ear almost got the heel of my foot a few times though. I certainly was not expecting the thing to lunge at me and give chase when I went to move it out of the way.

I haven't updated in a long time. I probably shouldn't be updating now, but all of you have a right to know, all of you care about Starby, so here it goes.
Starby hasn't had an easy time of it. I won't go into details but there's more wrong then just her broken leg. Her liver is toxic, it's failing.
Again, no details, but she's in hospital right now and the doctors don't think she'll make it.
They can't operate, she wouldn't survive the surgery. The liver is too far gone, her only hope would be a transplant. No can do.
The doctors are thinking she only has a few days left. They've induced a coma so she's not in pain.
Her family is by her side, trying, hoping, praying for a miracle. I hope there is one, but it doesn't look good.
All your prayers, whatever you believe in, whatever you have to give, let's give it to Starby.
I'm hoping for a miracle, I'm sure we all are.
That's all. I'll keep you all posted. :(

Never more then now do I realize that we are indeed a family. Much more then just people on the internet. We all care about each other.
This group, this family, AMHD, well, we all mean so much to Starby. We really were there through her darkest hours. She relied so much on the friendship, the human contact that she got here. We are her family. We're all family. We'll get through this, we have no choice.
Prayers, no matter who you pray to. Hope, no matter how small, that's all we have left.
Where there's a will there's a way. I hope someone finds the way. I hope that Ducky comes back to us.
Darn that girl. I hope she pulls through just so I can yell at her. She sure will get an earful for all this worry. ;)
