Oh, I hate this time of year. While I LOVE Christmas, the stress of shopping, do I have enough money, can't find enough time...

It's just so stressful for me. Finals are on the 12th of Dec, can't even begin to think about Christmas till I know whether I am moving on to next semester.

Christmas for us will be good I'm going to make it as magical as possible and for the fist time in years the budget won't be tight its going to be fab.

Oh my goodness, what a wonderful idea, Oh man, people do that here in Oregon, let me tell you... makin money... yes they are.

The problem is--I don't really have very many contacts here in the Cities, yet.

I'm going to talk to the apartment manager about hanging a flyer in the lobby, though, and then possibly go over to the local shopping center and see if I can put it on their community billboard.

I think that it's a great idea Synn. You would make a killing.

SYNNEN, Maybe you should make a myspace page for the holidays?? I would so fly you in if I had the money.. I know a lot of people have their homes decorated for them, trees and all. Especially professional athletes (football) because they are traveling during this time of year.

Craigslist? Any where little antique shops... Do your house first, take some pics of what you can do, then post it EVERYWHERE! Good luck Synn, I hope it all works...

I'm kind of private about it, though... maybe make a new one just for the holidays, for advertising... hmmm...

I've thought about checking out Craigslist, too.

The problem really, is that most people who have someone else do it hire interior decorating companies. I'm not that good, not that experienced, and not that expensive!

I was thinking about it more as a Mother's Helper sort of thing--getting the lights on the tree so the family can decorate it, or as a gift for a retiree some help getting the things they'd like out in their house that no one in the family really has time to help with.

/shrug... I've only been playing with the idea for a few weeks

That is an awesome idea... but maybe just like a business myspace page for the services you offer... separate from your private myspace page..
