Small amount of peanut butter dough, walnuts or pecans with a Hersey's Kiss on top... delicious! My mom came up with the name, not sure if the name was original...

Seeing as how I'm turning 16 I see it as the whole "coming of age yadda yadda yadda" I've wanted to do something intersting for my Birthday. Now I've already talked to my parents and I've having 2 get togethers. 1 just for the family and 1 just for the friends, and the thing is I can't decide what I want to do! I mean I've come up with a bunch of idea's but I ultimialy can't decide on what I want to do.

    The way I see it

Family= 2 options, We can have a cookout at my/aunts house, Or I can find a restaurant that I want to go to.

A lot of times, I'd would just go with the cookout. But I wanted to do something different this year so with the restaurant I have to find a place that

    A) Is good enough for me and mom (upscaleish, not just fast food) but good enough for my dads family (my grandpa things buffets are the greatest thing in the world, and would eat at Ryans or Golden Corral everyday)

    B) Distance, Again Clarksville doesn't really have a lot to offer and I'm afraid that my grandmother wouldn't be able to make the drive to nashville because of her ears.

And with the friends I can't decide whether

    A) Doing something cool (Taking on the Vermonster, a Ben and jerries ice cream sundae, 20 scoops of ice cream, 17 scoops toppings, bananas, cookies, whipped cream, etc..

    B) Having a house party..

    Choices, choices.
I'll brb, I have to go for my run

House party sounds good for the friend gathering, but it can be a bit overwhelming, especially for mom and dad. ;)

The family gathering, I think you're probably safer with the cookout, that way there's a variety of food, everyone is in a relaxed environment and can sit around and talk. In a restaurant you're seated in one spot and can't talk to everyone.

It's up to you, 16 is a milestone it should be something fun that you'll always remember.

My parents had a surprise party for me on my 16th. They lined up a babysitting job for me, which was a bit funny. The people I babysat for were regulars but out of the blue they call me up, tell me they've decided to go out for a pizza, could I come watch the kids. No problem. I get there and the kids are already eating delivery pizza. I was a bit confused as to why the parents were going out for pizza when they already had some at home.

Turns out they didn't go for pizza at all, they went to my parents house and helped decorate. :)

All my friends were there, it was a complete surprise, didn't see it coming. :)

Great, more drooling. Sadly I can't make anything with nuts here, hubby's allergic, deadly allergic. But, if he starts being a brat I might ask for the recipe. ;)

Try them, even without the nuts they are really, really good... didn't get any this year so far. My daughter said that she will bake some for Christmas though.:)

Hey, you. I just wanted you all to know I will be starting a new job on Monday. So I'll probably be on here a lot less. It's only a temp-job so it won't be forever. But I'm here for just a minute. How has everyone been?

Is anyone here? I'm freaking out a little right now!

Edit: Cancel that, I'm fine now... lol! My dog walker picked up Niki, and she's usually only gone for about half an hr. It was over an hr. and she still wasn't back. She's pregnant, and she's overdue, and she wasn't answering her phone. I was worried that maybe she went into labour or maybe even fell or something. She walks the dogs off leash at the park, so I was worried about Nikster too! But it's okay... I just got a hold of her. She was running late, and forgot she had a dentist appt. so she just took Niki with because she didn't have time to bring her home first... whew!!

Phew! Good! I would have been crazy too!

I'm good. Holidays were great! Only 14 working days till I leave for Christmas!! Woo-hoo!

Sorry, I am not getting notifications again. Yeah, I was shocked when the girl who walks Niki told me she was past her due date, and she still has no probs walking Niki, along with her two dogs also. They go up steep hills and everything. In fact she said that she has to stop and wait for Niki sometimes... LOL! She's a pretty strong girl!

I keep forgetting it was your Thanksgiving, since ours seems so long ago already! Where are you going for C'mas? I'm sure Sneezer would love for you to pop in! ;)

I was originally going to go to Maine, but since the fiasco at the funeral, I think my Mom is steering away from having the family Christmas... sad, but the monsters come out when there is money on the line. I hate that.

Hey everybody! Long time no see!

I see a lot has changed in the past while! I took a little leave over the past couple weeks, but I am back!

I hope you don't mind if I hang around the island for a bit!

Glad you're back Greenie, I was getting worried.

I'm about to go make some dinner, but take a stroll around the island, we have lots of fun stuff.

Watch out when you get to the waterfall, Rebbie likes to bathe there.

Stringer is trying to start a war, The duck is ducking behind some bushes and me, well, I'm up to no good, as usual. ;)

Got to run, I'll be back later. :)

    Glad you're back. :)

Oh well, Basicailly my Mother's side of the family is coming down to visit for New Years. Obviously there isn't a lot to do here in Clarksville so I was wondering if You knew anyplaces that we could take them out to eat.

Okay... another one, this one with a smile...

IF THIS DOESN'T MAKE YOU LAUGH,
    YOU NEED HELP!

A mother took her five-year-old son with her
To the bank on a busy lunchtime.
They got behind a very fat woman wearing a
    Business suit complete with pager.

As they waited patiently, the little boy said loudly,
    "Gee, she's fat!"
The mother bent down and whispered in
The little boys ear to be quiet.
A couple of minutes passed by and the little boy spread
    His hands as far as they would go and announced;

"I'll bet her butt is this wide!"

The fat woman turns around and glares at the little boy.
The mother gave him a good telling off,
And told him to be quiet.
After a brief lull, the large woman reached the front of the line.
Just then, her pager began to emit a

    beep, beep, beep

    The little boy yells out,

"Run for your life, she's backing up!!

I like Hard Rock Café, personally. Rain Forest Café in Opry Mills is always good. So is Cock of the Walk, right there by the mall. The catfish is A-MAZE-ING!
