Stringer, it's white here! :(
Bored, bored, bored.
Anyone here?
Nobody here but us chickens...
Chickens? Where? Darnit, now I'm hungry. :(
I'm getting a gym membership today, want to get into bikini form, and also start swimming again, I love swimming.
I need you guys to motivate me. I'll be going in the mornings after I drop the kids off at school. The gym is right around the corner from the school. I figure weights, bike etc. for an hour then swimming for an hour. Sound good? I hope so. ;)
Now if only I could stop drinking coffee. :(
LMAO! Poor Stringer, did I over work you? Tee hee. ;)
Let me guess, you want pictures when I'm done, right? :)
Good morning all
Guten morgen Herr Rome.
Sup guys
And how are we today Alty?
Alty is alive but not liking the snow. Yup, I'm complaining. :(
How are the Tiger and the Rome doing?
Decent... could use my bed right about now... fairly tired. SNOW SUCKS!! Just sayin'
I agree, snow is the worst!
My bed is upstairs waiting for me, but I refuse to climb back in.
Back in five minutes, stupid phone ringing. :(
Such a cute carnivore.
Sounds like a plan. Cross train. Confuse your body.
Also I don't know how things are in your area, but here the public libraries have dvds that you can check out for free... good way to see if there are some exercise vids that you might get... nice way to sample without buying... I have a gym membership and a greenbelt bike trail behind my house, but I still use a couple of workout dvd's during the week... and they're great when the weather is icky.
Billy blanks tae bo (the amped series, have five diff dvds) and some pilates (stott pilates, secret to flat abs mostly)... good for those days when you want a workout but don't want to go to the gym. Also, both of these tend to get into the core like other things don't. Tae bo involves a lot of side waist work, and pilates gets into your entire midsection, front to back... and its easily modified to take a move you have "mastered" and make it challenging again.
Also remember jumping rope. Yeah, I know, you'll need a couple of great support bras. Still... it is the devils work. Ill jump rope until my lungs are about to burst... then use a step to walk up and down in place for the same time. Repeat. Much too much. No fun... but a good cardio kicker that's a change of pace.
Hmmm... alty jumping rope and swimming the backstoke... am I smiling? Yep. Oh happy day.
The thought of jumping rope just scares me. I'd knock myself out. :(
I'm doing okay, dealing with a whole bunch of credit problems for my fiancé because of her ex
KP, if I jump rope people may be injured! ;)
I have a few workout DVDs, tae bo which I love, really works up a sweat. Hip hop abs (don't laugh, it's fun) and a pilates DVD as well but I've never been able to master it.
I love swimming, was on the swim team in High School, won a few medals (the boobs were smaller then). ;)
I'm definitely all for mixing it up. The gym I'm going to has it all, I can't wait to go.
My main problem is motivation. If I miss one day I'm likely to miss a week. I love working out, it gives me quite the high, but it's too easy to fall back into a rut if I don't go.
I'm starting with a 1 month membership, see how I do, then take it from there.
So KP, will you be my motivator? :)
Funny question dudes and gals... who is the poster you would most like to meet in person?
I got to say that I would love to meet Nestorian. Some of his/her posts are just flat out philosophical and I want to see what he/she is like in real life...
Fire away guys!
Nestorian is a guy.
I think you all know who I'd want to meet. Any guesses?
There are a few on my list though, it would be hard to pick just one. Can I choose a few?
