Funny how you buy everything you need. They had his cheap little desk so I bought it for Gavin. Of course a new chair for the desk. I bought a candle for my neighbor, its her birthday. A big hunk of ham for dinner with potatoes and carrots. Hmm... butter and cheese. Oh and a couple organizer things for his desk. All junk. Went to the store out of boredom.
Poor ole sunny,grab your bag and come over here,bring the ham too!
The kids are gone off for the weekend,bring gavin,plenty of stuff here to play with...

I would in a heart beat! It's a huge hunk of ham to. I can't wait for it. Its super cold here today. I have an apple pie candle burning. When the smell of that ham gets cooking its going to be all homey feeling and awesome.
Now to attempt the desk. Putting it together, ha, I can do anything! After all I am sunny.

Two and a half hours into the prep for the birthday party report: Party at 5 pm...
It is cold as h*ll!! Rain and lightning I could have dealt with, but I know the ladies will not stay outside in 62 degrees with the wind... So we are sitting up in the house... God help me, 50 + people in my house and most I don't even know... yet. Crap, I'm not even allowed to where shoes in my own house... how will this go over??
It was just decided that fresh roast beef sandwiches will be added (I was not in on that decision) that now brings the total to around $675.00 already... :(
Oh well, it is my son's birthday... along with his whole softball team... (Fun-:D:rolleyes:)

Yep, I am broke to but boredom won out and now I am more broke. My son is grounded. No TV or video games since Wednesday. I have to say, it sucks when he is grounded. Makes him way higher maintenance with out those electronic babysitters. Is that bad?Quote:

I used to have a punishment called 'life of misery' for my children,it was only used for serious offences...
Part of the life of misery was,apart from the no phone,TV,early bedtime,was the offender had to stay with me.. all day if it was a Saturday,that meant listening to me garbal on and on.. and on..
I would also make the offenders favourite dinner or take a way and serve it to everyone else and they would get a well balanced meal!
It was hell for both me and the poor child!

Okay, now I need to vent...
A guy posted an ad on craigslist, trying to buy a dog. A dog for his daughter. He didn't provide any more information.
I figured that he should get one from a shelter or an unwanting home, instead of buying one.
So, I sent him an email:
I know this isn't what you wanted to hear, but I'm going to tell you anyway.
1: Instead of buying a dog, get one for free. Take one from a local shelter that will be put down without an owner. Or, even just look under "free" on Craigslist. There are plenty of unwanted dogs you could take.
2: If your daughter isn't old enough to get her own dog, then she is too young for a puppy. I don't know how old she is, but if you are still having to get her a dog, then getting her a puppy would just be a huge disaster. You would be much better off getting an already grown dog. Better for you, your daughter, and the dog.
3: Also, remember that dogs are a responsibility. You can't realistically get a dog for your daughter and expect her to take care of it. You would be the one taking care of it, and you are being unrealistic to think your daughter will. If you tell her "you can only keep it if you take care of it" she may for a while, but she won't keep it up. Either, you'll end up caring for it, and she'll keep taking advantage of you, or you'll hold to your word, and that's basically animal cruelty.
Good luck with your dog, but an educated dog owner is a more responsible dog owner.

a dude check this out my daughter is 18months old.and i am a responsible dog owner i have a dog now that ive had for what 6 years, and she is suppose to be mine and my boys dog they are 10-13 but in the end i take care of them i feed them give them water and take them out for jogs and run with them at the park. I know i will end up taking care of it but im fine with that i would just like to see a happy smile on here face instead of being scared of animals. and a puppy can grow with her get my drift. i understand ur concern but not all people are alike some of us do know what we are doing here ur not the only one who knows about animals .i personally think though that as long as im doing what i need to you need to stay out of my bussiness,not to be mean but im no kid for u to try to talk to like that if you like though lets meet in person and ill show you what im talking about ok be a man and back up your belief so go ahead and give me your address and ill see youi soon until then dont message me back.

I have to say, punishing your child is often more of a punishment for you.
Who wants to listen to a whiny kid complain that their TV and phone have been taken away for a day?
It's my Saturday, I plan to enjoy it.
So, the punishment in our house keeps the kids busy, out of my hair and works like a charm.
We have three dogs, they all poo at least 2 times a day, if not more. Whenever one of the kids crosses the line, they get to go in the backyard and pick up dog poo.
Depending on how long it's been since the last punishment, this can take anywhere from 1 hour to 1 week.
Point one for Mommy. :)

You're getting a puppy for your 18 month old daughter and don't see a problem with that? You may have dogs, you may have kids, but you don't know crap about having either one.
Dude, an 18 month old baby doesn't need a puppy dude. You get my drift?
Also, if you already have a dog and your daughter is afraid of animals, why would you get another? Why is your daughter afraid? Did your other dog attack her? What's up with that dude?
Thank you for writing back. At first I thought you were a responsible dog owner, that you would want the information I had and you'd be grateful. Now I realize that you don't have a clue what owning a dog is all about, you don't have the brains God gave a goat and you're reproducing when you probably shouldn't be.
As for meeting up with you in a dark alley. No thank you. I'm smarter then that, sadly, you aren't.
