How old do you think Edith is?

My neighbours cat had kitten in my shed a little while ago. And my neighbour just left them there! I was like umm, you, do you think you could come and get your kittens some time soon?

She asked me if I wanted a free kitten, then she changed her mind and said she was selling them for $30. If Lady wouldn't eat it, I would love to have one, but I wouldn't want to support her.

Any one who allows their cats to raom the roads (she has like 6 all un altered), especially when they are pregnant, aren't very good pet owners (IMHO).

Hi everybody, sorry I've been away for a while. I've been busy buying a new house and moving and all that jazz. I've also recently started planning a wedding, everyone should check out my wedding planning thread.

I agree. And to charge people for the products of her ill-cared for pet... ugh

My guess is somewhere between 1 and 2 years. I think this is her first litter, too.

She was obviously a very well cared for pet for most of her life. She's never showed signs of malnutrition and her fur's really thick and glossy. Her manners are impeccable. She has a few faint scars on her ears from fighting, but nothing like you see in most long-term strays.

My guess, is that someone had her and took very good care of her, then had to give her up. Either she ended up somewhere and ran away, or they just put her out on the street. She couldn't have been a stray for more than a few months.

    That's aweful!

Well I am glad that she has such a good home now! Hheath you are soon going to be the crazy cat lady :p

I don't know how you could do it. My mom used to breed German Shepherds, and when the puppies were born, and as they got older and were sold, I used to bawl my eyes out each time one of them left.

    I think I still would!

I can see that ONLY if she's getting them their first round of shots. If she rehomes them at 6-8 weeks, like most people do, then she'll spend MAYBE $10, total, for food and litter for ALL of them.

Kittens don't take a lot of special stuff. Their mother feeds them and does everything else for them for the first 3-4 weeks of their lives. For the 4-5 weeks they still get about half their food from their mom.

If she doesn't bother to get any of her cats fixed, then I would guess that she won't bother to vet the kittens, either.

Heath may I ask for some advice. I just talked to my daughter. She graduates the sixteenth of next month from College. She is my baby . She is very independent, very dry sense of humor, very outspoken.

She was in tears because she 's not sure if the career path she thought she wanted is what she wants. She's beautiful and has many friends but I just wonder do you ar anyone else who is young and in college have these doubts? She works two jobs one on campus and one as a waitress. We got her an apartment off campus and she lives with three other girls. She pays her part of the rent and now she's having second thoughts about her career. Your really smart Heath.. how can I help her.

    Bell,

I'm 48... I left high school 30 yrs. Ago... silliness, gossip and trash knows NO age limit. Sad but true.
Take it as a compliment.. someone must be jealous.. you have a great nose.. with or without surgery.

Hheath, you better duck and RUN!

Kitty, just be there for her. Believe me when I was in Uni, I was stressed to the max. The realization of the amount of money and time I was spending had me in mega turm oil. I second guessed everything I did. I would panic late at night while I was laying in bed.

I would think, I am spending all this time and money what if I don't like what I am going to school for? I ended up dropping the most important classes. I would now do ANYTHING to turn back the clock and continue on with those classes.

I also had this impending feeling of doom in my stomach. I felt like, what if I can't do this? And then my negative thoughts took over, and I lost all confidence in myself. My grades in those classes started slipping, and I took the easy way out and dropped those classes.

Any education in my opinion is better than no education.

Aww thanks Classy T! That's really nice. I guess when I left HS I thought I was leaving shallow people and their opinions behind. But I guess your right, just because we all aren't gathered in one common area, they are still going to talk!

It's a natural and common fear.

Does she have a job lined up that'll use her degree? The only way to conquer the fear, is to face it. Once she gets a job that uses her degree, she'll either learn her fears were unfounded or decide that she was right. There's really nothing else to do.

I'm an art major. Even though it's been more than a year since I attended classes, I still think of myself as an art major. I KNOW my chosen career path will be bumpy. Artists do not usually make a lot of money. I also know that there will be times when I wonder why I ever went to college in the first place. But, I love creating things. Even if I end up not always being happy with whatever job I end up with, I know that there's nothing else I could've majored in that I would love more.

Dry sense of humor sort of like Fr.Chuck (I love Fr. Chuck) he cracks me up. She throws tantrums some times. She said "mommy i miss you and daddy"... I was ready to drive up . She's fine now. Thanks Stringer.. like I said you're just a big old softie with a heart of gold.:)

Well, they are magnatized so they spin around the metal track without falling off. Its not really that fun of a toy but it is interesting to watch. I used to love them growing up because as a kid I had no clue how they worked lol.

It spins. This video kind of sucks, but it's the best one I could find. The wheel is supposed to go all the way around the bend and back. I think her's is broken.

I knew how they worked when I was little. I still loved them. I can sit and play with one for hours, if I don't get distracted by something else.
