If gold hadn't risen beyond the average persons pocket book, I would tell you to buy, now, I guess our only option is to go out and collect cans. The poor mans gold.

I know how honey, but I wouldn't want to watch you do the well known 'shuffle'. It's no fun to wonder around not knowing who or what you are...

Try paracetamol with codeine, it works wonders for me and helps me keep a clear mind. And, believe me, I've needed it lately. To get back on the network, I had to move furniture around for about 7 hours straight, and all my muscles ached like heck. Glad that's over now.

    Talk to you later.

Magprob, I know I'm intruding again, but I thought I'd send some points to ponder... just to cheer you up or *iss you off, whatever emotion you pick is OK with me.

    Ponder this...

Are snakes afraid of other snakes?

If you overdosed on decongestant tablets, would you turn into a pile of dust?

Why don't ceramic cats come complete with synthetic hairballs?

At an 'all-you-can-eat' restaurant, is there a penalty for eating less than you can?

Why is it that most irons have a setting for 'permanent press' garments?

Do hermits ever suffer from peer pressure?

Why is it a 'garage door opener', since it opens and closes the door?

If space & time are the same as Einstein said, can you be five miles late?

Could you be arrested for selling 'illegal-sized' paper?

If you wear your heart on your sleeve, where do you display other bodily parts?

And how come there's never a garage actually for sale at all those garage sales?

How would you ever know if a word was mis-spelled in the dictionary?

If we know the speed of light, why hasn't anyone calculated the speed of dark?

How come birds aren't tickled by feathers?

If only the good die young then what does that say about senior citizens?

Why do they call it a TV set when you only get one?

Do blind Eskimos have seeing-eye sled dogs?

How do you know when it's time to tune your bagpipes?

    [author unknown]

    http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/36/36_1_67.gif TO ALL OF YOU!

    Network? what? I don't understand??

Found a cheaper internet provider with Internet and telephone flatrate, so that I know what costs are coming at me in that area each month. Even get a second phone, and answering machine is on the network...

In order to receive this, three men had to come into my place, messy as it is because I was always too sick to do anything or care about it... I had to move my 4-piece couch unit which is too big for the room it's in, and to move them, I had to clear the crap that was on them off. Now, I had to find boxes, decide where to hide them after I filled them, take the couch apart and move it out of the way because the telephone and TV cable sockets were right in the corner of the room where most of my stuff was. And, my wonderful neighbor just ordered cable TV with more programs for me to watch, (I think I told you that.. remember? - that too had to be installed in the same socket. Needless to say, I'm renovating... while I am still working on getting things back in order, I want to paint the wall, sort things to throw out, save, sell, give to my daughter, etc.

A few doctor visits and CTs and bloodwork also had to worked into that busy schedule somehow. BUT, I'm back on the network, happy, all muscles aching, but I know why they ache and I'm proud of what I got done. Now I just need to find the time and energy to watch the new TV channels and get back on AMHD to see if I can screw up anymore relationships (ha ha)... I need you guys and you'll not get rid of me that fast. I'm just busy getting my living space as comfortable as possible to enjoy the heck out of it and make it safe for my grandson to visit.

I am getting help from friends and neighbors (all of a sudden they visit more than they used to) and it's nice to be able to talk and get help moving stuff. The only problem is, when I need to do things in a hurry, they are usually asleep like normal people. Today a Lieutenant Colonel friend of mine who is an Occupational Health Nurse, called, said she had to move into a hotel to get ready to get reassigned and had a bunch of frozen food, spices, and lots more stuff she had to either throw away or bring over real quick. So, I had to sort out a few grocery bags (7)and find places to store the super stuff she brought. I only have three little cabinets in this kitchen, so I had to 'hide' more stuff in the bedroom closet and move my old stuff out of a little freezer to make room for the edible stuff she brought me. This feels like a fairytale, but she said she'll bring more tomorrow...

Sometimes I really have to pinch myself to see if this is really happening.

The smiley I sent Janine was because she mentioned Thorazine - and we used to give that to 'hyper psych patients' to keep them calm and controlable. Then we'd take them to the dining facility lined up, all 'shuffling' the Thorazine Shuffle...

YES Magprob, this is probably more information than you wanted to know on your thread,, but please be tolerant and I'll try not to invade your space too much..

Here is a question recently posted in the Skincare section:

I cut myself shaving my legs quite badly and I would like to know how do I get rid of this
    Scab quickly?

Oh man! Short of having your leg amputated, I just don't know! My God, these questions are getting harder and harder. Things I have never been faced with before. The world has changed immensly and I am getting old and senile.

Honey, I think right now, without them we'd be bored and have no fun at all... so give them a chance, they are good people. I wouldn't know what to do without you guys right now - you are all a part of my life-line and I'm absolutely, positively grateful. OOPS, I think my cat is jealous of you, he just now jumped in my lap. It didn't bother him at all when I just talked and talked to start. A few minutes ago, but once I reply to you, here he jumps and purrs away... I think my four-legged man is trying to tell me he wants to sleep with me for a few hours, so I'll comply to the baby.

    Night Night.

Plan on it... To think that I'm going to keep busy during the remaining time I have left is better than waiting to croak in a hospital. Not too may people are graced with a choice to make like this.. Movements are a little slower, but that won't stop me. Sometimes I even thing I type faster now, to make sure I get it all in. My diary is getting so full, thank goodness it's not in the old handwritten manner.

A philosophy professor walks in to give his class their final. Placing his chair on his desk the professor instructs the class, "Using every applicable thing you've learned in this course, prove to me that this chair DOES NOT EXIST."

So, pencils are writing and erasers are erasing, students are preparing to embark on novels proving that this chair doesn't exist, except for one student. He spends thirty seconds writing his answer, then turns his final in to the astonishment of his peers.

Time goes by, and the day comes when all the students get their final grades... and to the amazment of the class, the student who wrote for thirty seconds gets the highest grade in the class.

His answer to the question: "What chair?"

I'm going to slap you if you keep putting yourself down... #Too bad I'm using a new laptop with german OS, and vista to boot... It took me 5 hours to figure out how to be able to download and install my usual goodies like Total Commander (love it, and it's vista compatible), then a PDF creator because I don't always have a printer available, and a screen printer to copy errors on screen so that I can send them to vendors of software that messed up..

To top it off, my Smiley Central is not allowed on this computer because it thinks it's malware or something and blocks it. So, when I use this one, there will be no cute smileys to help me express my emotions.

The keyboard is a trip... literally, the y is where the z should be and the * is not above the 8 like in US keyboard, and a whole lot more I get to learn, but it keeps me from getting bored. To do the @ sign, I have to press the right alt and the W key, isn't that funny?? The enter key is further away and I keep getting ### when I think I pressed it. I don't spell well in german, so at least the office trial version has a german spell checker for official mail.

Janine, wish you were here, or I was there to help you get rid of some of your stress, but I'm confident you'll get better with a little time.

    Talk to you later.

Yup, Yup, Yup.. Now I pay 10 to 15 Euro less a month because it's all in one package and not two separate entities. Before, I had to pay for my phone whether I used it or not (21 Euro a month) and now I have two phones included in the internet and phone flatrate package - That's COOL. And since I now have this german laptop from a former co-worker, I'm on the net a lot looking for Windows Vista compatible goodies to play with.

I had to re-download all of my Real Arcade and Bigfish games to test them with vista compatibility.. and boy was that a chore. Bigfish had no problem, but I still have too work on Real Arcade a bit. I love hidden object games and have a lot to give to someone when I no longer need them. No sense in just leaving them in the internet black hole, they are paid for and I don't mind just giving the rights to someone deserving who will enjoy them as much as I do. Also plan on giving my PDF coloring books away to anyone who wants them, so I will probably load them on to yousendit.com and let people know which link to get them from. I created them, so I can send them to anyone I want. Can you imagine what a chore it is installing all my Adobe 6 professional, Paintshop Pro9, Office 2003, and lot's more onto the new laptop?? I even forgot to eat today - real computer addict today, but I like a challenge. Oh, I forgot my Kyodai, and Jigs@w Puzzle games too.. will do that on Sunday.

Going to make a list of what I have soon and let you know, so that you can pick what you want from them. We will talk about it all via email then.

Got to go, before I fill up a whole page with just one post. No english spell checker on this thing, so I cannot even proof what I type before submitting. Hope you don't find too many typos.

    Talk to you later,

;) Boohoo, I want my smileys back...
