That stop off is for a wedding (actually outside of Charleston). So, I have to pack all this extra stuff that I typically wouldn't for a beach visit. I am driving myself crazy with lists of things I can not forget! I hate to be unprepared and being away from home for 3 weeks - I know I am going to forget SOMETHING! :)

They just went down here at mom's to $3.09 a gallon

I haven't checked what it is here today. It got close to $4.00, but is going back down. Yesterday it was $2.99 for mid-grade. Which, according to the husband, is what I MUST put in my car.
Does it really make a difference? I guess it depends on who you ask.

Regular was $3.59 when we drove up here. Pretty darn expensive.

We used to put Ultimate and MidGrade in our car till we got the new car. The dealership, our mechanic, and the manual said to use regular, so we do.

According to the husband, he is the car expert...
A little thing like me couldn't possibly know what kind of gas to put in. So, I just do what I am told. :)

LOL, same here. My mechanic said not to use it, the car's manual said not to use it, my hubby said not to use it. So I don't LOL

I have never checked the manual. We have only had this one for about a month and a half. So, he is still in the "honeymoon" stage with it. He even showed me how to dry it off properly the other day when I washed it. I didn't know if I should laugh or punch him.

Oh, just laugh. I got the "how to dry the pretty new car the right way" speech too the other week before our trip.

Heaven forbid if there is a teeny tiny speck of dried up water on it. LOL

As far as grades of fuel go... if it says to use mid-grade or premium, the only difference you're going to really get if you don't is that you won't get as good gas milage.

I have a 94 Lincoln that has to have premium... thank goodness my commute is only 2 miles!

I know. I have to give "the baby" a bath in the shade in order to reduce spots.
Plus, all the products I have to use to make it pretty, inside and out.

Don't get me wrong, I like doing it, but having someone over my shoulder giving instructions - drives me crazy.

LOL, Synn. According to my hubby, and he is a gunsmith not a mechanic so take it for what it is worth, high performance engines use premium. If our engine isn't high performance use regular.

This comes from a man who INSISTED that we use premium on our old car, and it recently died. LOL

We use nothing but regular now because the manual tells us to. LOL

LOL, we don't have any shade, so I have to wash, dry and pamper the "baby" in the evening.

It's funny, he takes his car off road - and the more scratches he gets the better - "wheeling scars".
If I let my dog on the inside of mine - oh, heaven help us!

Ah Ha, this is the looney bin. Thanks J_9. Hope you are well! Hey everyone. Happy Flag Day to you. I honor the flag, that is for sure, we only have three hanging out front... (my husband) And we still get to have the kids wash the cars, I always go over it when they are done. LOL

My daughter WISHES she could help with the car. You just never know if she gets some sort of rocks or dirt on the special washing mit and then the finish would be ruined. :)
So, it's either me or the brushless car wash.

Welcome Start!! Glad I gave good directions, LOL

I am okay. Making it, you know.

Have to leave Mom tomorrow, and that actually scares me more than Dad's death. They would have been together 50 years this October.
