Well... I've been here for a while now... and I'm rarely on when M is :o

So, I tend to get a little too excited when someone I don't often get online gets online :o

I can use just about every power tool I've come across. Drill, jig saw, table saw, circular saw, band saw, drill press, belt sander, and probably a few more I can't think of names for.

Someday, I want to have a workshop full of power tools.

OK, table saw isn't the right name. It's bolted to the table, which is why I called it that.

Miter saw. THAT'S what I used today.

Id seen the "hotdog saw" video years ago.

I like innovation. It's a neat trick if it works... but it allows for bad form... which I don't like. 'course I don't like ER trips either..

Just about every action we do over and over eventually involves some level of "muscle memory"... where you might have had to think and focus on how to walk at first... now its way back... streaming like elevator music in the background.

I'm not saying we should be all tough love about chop saws and just have open, unguarded blades and let darwin weed out the clumbsy... but for some reason that hot dog saw bugs me.

Itd be one thing if all saws had it... it was common... a little fear is good sometimes... and using a more common saw, with all the commonly needed precautions, would train you to use better form more of the time, in theory.

    Or not.

That said... think of all the hot dogs that would get wasted showing your buddies how cool your power tool was...

I'm writing about weiners and saws. Time to do something else.
