An Aussie kiss eh? Dare I even ask?
I wish I was having a few beers. Lucky duck. I had a BBQ with some friends today. It's almost 2 am here.
LOL! Ding*
Hey dudes wish me luck :)
I have an interview today. It's with a program that my province provides that helps pay for your school. They're going to see if I qualify. I really really hope I get in so cross your fringers for me guys. It's not till 9:30 but I'm up getting ready for it [it's 7:39].
wear a pink or blue top. Pink is warm and makes you seem likable instantly. Blue is calming and makes you seem mature and responsible.
if you have a necklace or earrings with light blue stones, wear that, too.
and, tons of luck and good wishes ^_^
Thanks for the tip hheath! I'm definitely going for mature and responsible! It's more of a casual interview, from what I hear, so dressing too upity would be "awkward" as someone told me, but going in jeans it too laid back. So I opted for black jeans and now a cute blue top.
Fewf.. this interview has me all kinds of nervous.
P.S. has anyone started a new thread yet? This is right about to end!
Uh here it is:

See I'm so nervous I'm not even thinking straight... crap. Well I guess we can save that link for later...
Haha...
Sh!t I'm mortified.
Take deep breathes. It'll be OK.
Just finished a very profound book. High on Arrival by Mackenzie Phillips. You know Julie Cooper of One Day at a Time and daughter of John Phillips of the Mamas and the Papas.
Very profound to say the least.
I know her as molly phillips on so weird.
Yes, that's her. She had such a sad childhood.
Yes, I know she was working on this book when she appeared on Oprah and declared that she had been sexually abused by her dad. A lot to own up, for both of them, but getting it out in the open was the healing process. Both father and daughter have come to terms with it.
Tick
I saw a biography on TV about her when I was younger. Don't remember much about it, but it must've been close to 15 years ago. I do remember that she spent years addicted to alcohol before finally cleaning up and turning her life back around.
According to the book, on his death bed he did not admit it.
Apparently she is doing pretty good after getting busted with heroin at LAX in 2008. So, she's been sober 2 years now. But at one time she was sober for 15 years, so only time will tell.
The book was so descriptive that by the end of my shift I thought I was hallucinating aliens in the woodwork of the hospital. The other nurse working with me saw goats instead of aliens.
I promise we were just tired, we were NOT dipping into our narcotic stash. :p
yeah, I was maybe 10, at the oldest, when I saw it. I probably had no idea what most of what they were talking about meant. The alcoholism is about the only thing I really remember, and it might not even actually be from that show.
goats? In a hospital? Were they in the bassinets in the nursery? ^_~
