I like to find Alty on a random thread for the day, it makes me smile. Someone should come up with a new bunny joke for her.

I like to pop in when people least expect it.

I'm random to a fault. Can't help it, I only sit at the puter 5 - 10 mintues at a time, then run off to get stuff done.

Don't worry guys, I'd never abandon you completely. ;)

Ayla still naps? Wow, she's going to have a hard time at school.

Both my kids stopped napping at 3, otherwise they weren't tired enough to go to bed at a decent hour.

I need them to go to bed at a decent hour. ;)

Pfft I am going to bed. This is why think I would fit in in Australia. Every time my sleep schedule messes up a TINY bit I pop right back to this one. I'd have to learn a new national anthem and everything.

OH Shaz did you ever see a movie called The Dish? It's about the big dish in Parks, Australia, and how they used it to transmit the moon walk via TV. It's kind of boring but funny too. It's about Aussies and Americans! I watched it on Netflix this week and giggled.

How does naptime differ for you? Will you be doing something other than chatting on here? Well at least now you don't have get up and check on anyone.

I was planning on stopping naps when she started school then I found out that her class has lay down times (she is full day kindergarden) so I didn't stop them because that would only confuse her. Besides she gets really super tired around 3 so I figure instead of fighting sleepyness at 3, we can take a nap after lunch instead.

    Can I have a nap?

    I want a nap.

Sydney just came back from her play date and I have to go get Jared from his.

I'll be back later. Kid time.

I think I'll have a water fight with them. This never ends well, they gang up on me, the last time I cried, they sprayed water in my eye.

    Mean kids. ;)

Hold down the fort while I'm gone.

Doesn't that mess with her sleep schedule?

Wow, they do nap time in kindergarten? That's crazy. How are these kids going to function in grade 1?

When Sydney was 3 she went to playchool, it was 2 days a week, full days, they didn't do nap time and all the kids were 3.

I just can't imagine nap time in kindergarten. I guess they really do things differently in the US.

    Interesting.

Really? There was nap time in preschool too. I didn't take naps in kindergarten cause I was a half day, but my brother did. My sister also did half days though.

No it doesn't mess with her sleeping at night, if she Doesn't get a nap she gets over tired and ends up with a 'second wind' at 8 lol which is bed time. I even tried pushing her bed time up to 9 but she still couldn't calm down. With the hour nap after lunch she winds down nice and easy at 8 or 830.

Kids aren't required to nap and actually they typically discourage sleeping but they will have kinder mats and take them out for a 'rest' period. Lay down, lights out, soft music... more of a reenergize then a nap. Usually relatively short.

Yeah justy is right. That's pretty much what I do here, except ayla usually falls asleep. I get her up after about an hour.
