Yeah, I sometimes take some abuse but mostly stand up... of course a little tattered and torn and with mud on my face... but I always stand back up. Kind of like you my friend.

Take it then leave it... Right Stringer?
I have to say your face looks kind of dirty over in Chery's thread... LOL
Momma always taught me to try to take the high road. You know, turn the other cheek, I try... not always successful though... nope. So... I get into trouble... but not always.
I was never "taught" to turn the other cheek, good think I was born with the heart I have or there would be some broken bones and broken hearts around this silly world we live in;)
I love your Mama;)
I was taught, if someone slaps you, turn the other cheek.
If they slap that one as well, you better kick their @ss, then light them on fire.
... is it just me or did my parents miss a few parenting courses?
I think that is great advice... but use your "look" when you turn the first cheek, normally they know not to even try the second.
How is the business and how are you holding up?
Thank you dear... I really appreciate that comment about my mom.
And I might say, as an observer of who you are and what you do for almost a year and a half... I agree, you have a marvelous heart, a big heart.
We do go back a bit, don't we...
Yes we do... and now my company is here for dinner so you two have a great night;)
Hugs!
Well, starty, even with the economy, I practically doubled the old owner's revenue, and set a new high-record for revenue on Friday night.
Granted, it has its ups and downs, and I'm sure I'll have my fill of disappointments and failures, but even at this stage, I'm calling it a success.
Nice that you have company for dinner, I like to do that also... we really enjoy entertaining.
Well we did it yesterday, sis-in-law had her 30th birthday and we went all out. Hot Italian Beef (with fresh buns and broth), fried chicken, corn on the cob, tons of appetizers and deserts, much more too. We had about 60 adults and about 15 kids here. Spent a lot on decorations; hanging them from everywhere, including the ceiling in the great room and that was tough, the ceiling is 25 feet high. (yes Start, Marta held the ladder for me).
Anyway, the party started at 6 pm inside and out even though it was a little chilly we had a big fire going in the fire pit. The last couple left at 2:30 am...
Slept in until 9 am this morning. It was nice, took my mind off all this stress of late.
She "made out" great... got about $650.00 in gift cards, a diamond ring, and a bunch of other "stuff."
Want to borrow my lighter Starby? ;)
Did I miss everyone? Is everyone gone? Helllllooooooo! :(
All alone? Sad. :(
I'm here. Just got back.
... well, sort of here. I'll be... you know, around.
I'm here... I shouldn't be here... but I'm here! My back aches! I can't get this all done by tomorrow morning... I just can't! I will not be able to go to bed allll night, and Starby is VERY grumpy! Not happy I tell you... not happy at all! :(
Grumpy Starby is a bad thing, a very bad thing.
Sneezy, do you know how to vanish? ;)
Oooh, dinner time, then kid bath time, then kid story time, bed time and then mommy beer time. :)
Back later kids.
Sneezy, I want to hear about Saturday. ;)
Twas exciting for me, not exciting for you. I'll leave it there.
Starby, you do realize that I know how to freeze time, right?
Starby, I can freeze time too, what are you offering? ;)
