Sorry for the bad news Chicky. This hasn't been the best week around here. My kid got sentenced to 2 yrs in prison, when we thought he was just going to get community service time. He had a grumpy judge who said he was going to make an example of him. So that was a little hard to take. But, we've all made it through it anyway. :)

Oh wow... that's awful! I'm so sorry Starby!

Life sucks sometimes, doesn't it! (sorry, I don't normally say that word, but gosh darn it... it fits today!)

Well that's life. Take a big whiff of your flowers, and I'll do the same (my aunt brought me flowers... they've lasted a long time now) and we can both be in flower land for awhile! ;)

My nephew in Pittsburgh had his first book published as I mentioned before and he is doing book signings everywhere including New York.

This is an interview on KDKA TV with his daughter Aviana yesterday morning. Aviana is 4 years old and Jim's inspiration for his Christmas Book.

Enter "Jim Struzzi" in the "search box" then click on the "Christmas Book Interview." We are very proud of him...

He is also the spokesman for PENDOT for Western Pennsylvania along with once being "Mr. Pennsylvania" in body building.

Happy for him, he deserves it, and I just wanted to share.

HC, welcome back home! Sorry you had flight delays and all the frustration that goes with that. Thoughtful co-workers sure can make our day sometimes.

Starby, have you heard from Ben? Can he send letters out? You sure are a rock for some of us and I thank you.

Stringer, "WOW! CONGRATULATIONS!" That is pretty exciting having book signings! It is refreshing having some good news to think about!! I must have missed a post where you shared earlier about him. Again, so happy for you and him and his little family.

Stringer, I have looked up every way to Sunday, trying to find the interview. Sometimes, I think my teeny tiny brain took holiday without letting the rest of my body know it. I have been away from the computer for a bit but I typed in Jim Struzzi in Google, found all kinds of links, typed in book name and interview. I had already clicked on the link but didn't have presence of mind to get past the roadway news. LOL Oh Stringer, I think Princess was just temporarily gone in to another planet. I came back to it and there it was, easy to find.

The interview was so warm and fun to watch and hear. Thank you for sharing the link. I am so happy for he and his family! I know you are so proud of him. The little one was precious. He sounds like a sensitive, loving dad. Again, thanks for sharing the link and I know you will be relieved to know that the Princess once again has both feet on the ground and is thinking straight... well... as straight as we do at the Castle. LOL

When the site comes up, type in the "search" tag: STRUZZI. Then to the right you will see many TV interviews pertaining to his work position.

Find the one that says "interview" and click on that one... let me know please...

Are you able to pull up this site:

I just didn't want you to think I didn't get to view it. It was terrific! I was probably not too clear myself. We got really bad news regarding my sis-n-law last night that they basically are sending her home with pain meds, pain patch, and no more chemo as it has not slowed the growth of the tumor down and is pressing against her voice box and other not so pleasant things to mention on this thread.

Becaues my brain is rather in a fog today from the news, it just took me a bit to find the interview but it was my fault not your instructions. Thank you Stringer... you're the bestest!! LOL

Thank you so much Stringer!! I appreciate that.

If you know of other clips regarding your nephew and his book please let us know. That was just fun. When he was growing up, did you realize he had the gift of writing??

Actually he did, he went threw a teenage period of Acid Rock Star, wild hair and all with his band. Settled himself down, graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with his degree in journalism. Got a job as spokesperson for Pendot (Pa Dept of transportation) and then to the statewide spokesperson. He is also one of the Governor's speech writers. Married a beautiful, caring woman (Chrissey) five years ago and they have two daughters and Talan; their son, now 7 months old. Aviana is 4 years old their oldest, and she is just as feminine and cute as can be.

This is Jim's first published book; "The Christmas Secret", he has completed a teenage mystery drama something a little like Lord of the Rings. And he is just completing another one also. The Christmas Secret is really a great book Princess, very touching, a feeling of Old Time Christmases, an easy read and great for kids and adults of all ages. If you are interested you can order it at Borders, it is in their warehouse, I think it is $11.95.

He has had over 30 book signings so far and a couple of those were in New York as I mentioned.

He was always the creative type and he could smooth talk you socks off, still can. I am very impressed, pleased and proud of him in every way. There was a time when he was in the band and for some time later until he settled down with Chrissey that he was kind of a problem for his Mom and Dad. Girls that he didn't even know were calling constantly and several times camped outside his parents door only to be found sleeping there in the morning... his time in the band (and finding himself) was somewhat troubling.

But he is a fine success story and a good husband and father... very proud.:)

I like to think that a tiny bit rubbed off on him... he says a lot did (blush). Jim and I spent several summers together and we have had hours of heartful, long talks. He is a good guy.

    Thanks for asking Princess.

I really liked watching the news clip of your nephew and his little girl Stringy. Good for him. Sounds like it is a really good book. Maybe even a nice C'mas gift for my niece. She's only 2 and a half now, but maybe something that she could understand more over the yrs.

You guys, I'm a freakin idiot! I can't believe what I just did! Grrrrrr! I forgot I put a big bowl of leftover beef vegetable soup in the fridge lastnite, only covered with Saran Wrap. I wasn't paying attn. and I pulled out my cold cut drawer, and it caught the top of the big bowl, and sent soup flying EVERYWHERE! I've got soup all over my walls, and even into my dining room many feet away! It's all over the fridge, the stove, the cupboards, myself... just everywhere! UUURRRGGGHHH! I have to take a few minutes and calm down. It's even all over Niki, and she just came back from the groomers on Tues. I don't want to start scrubbing walls and floors right now, and cleaning the fridge etc. Oh and not to mention jumping into the shower... with Niki... HELP! LOL!

Hee hee... (if you had feathers... they would have absorbed all the soup, no prob... :) )

My Mama use to say "Nothing goes further than spilled milk!" This statement was made after I spilled a whole glass in my sister's bedroom, as I was walking across the bed on my knees with glass in hand and oops!! Could my mother have been wrong?? Eek!

Sure sounds like beef vegetable soup might win out in that discussion!! Ucky Do!!

Haha! Yep... I think Veg soup is the WINNER! Boy 'o Boy... if I could've reached to kick myself in the butt, I would've! What a dumb move! I was planning on having that soup for dinner too! Blah! LOL!
