Ah sh*t alty,but I have to say there is a lot of bad feelings about the new skin,and its noticeable on the boards,the amount of confusion is incredible.
Ill probably hang on till the bitter end,try as I might the new skin has me baffled,I'm no good to man nor beast on it.
When I open ask me helpdesk I'm still on the old skin so far I haven't been forced to use it and have at my lesure :(

Bear, if the new skin didn't affect the old, I'd be okay with it.
The fact is, it's a big ole mess. It's confusing, and new members are being forced to use it before it's ready. It's unprofessional and people are going elsewhere. I can't blame them, if I was a newbie, and was greeted by the new ff skin, I wouldn't stick around either.
They're posting comments instead of posts, reddies can be dished out like candy, with only one post to their names and no spreading around the rep. They can view everything we're doing just by going to our profile page. There's more, but those are some of the highlights.
Fact is, it's not fun anymore. I still love the people I've met here and I know I'll miss you all terribly, I'll miss our chats, our silly theme threads, but I can't stick around just for that.
I don't want to leave either. I was a lifer, but the AMHD I know and love, it's going, and it won't be long before it's gone completely. I won't sit here and watch it happen knowing there's nothing I can do about it. This is just too big a change. :(
My prediction is that AMHD will lose a lot of valuable members if this continues. Makes you wonder why they're going ahead with it when so many of the people that make this site what it is, are saying they hate it and they'll leave.
I guess we don't matter, after all, we're just the people that use the site, that have made the site what it is. People come here because of the advice and support we give. You don't shoot the hand that feeds you, and that's what the Dev's are doing.
We're not appreciated, that's been made very clear. So why should I stay? Maybe when the money stops flowing in they'll realize how valuable we all are.
I'm sticking to my guns on this one, even though leaving will hurt. :(
I say we organize a strike. Maybe create a poll.
Might go something like:
Would you go on strike from AMHD?
Say for a week, 2 weeks, 3 weeks?
And Answer like usual those with 100, 200, 300, Active members?

Alty, I am as frustrated as you are, but I don't understand, when I log on it's the old AMHD, sure I get weird comments, haven't had an reddies yet, but I am sure it's only a matter of time. BUt if I don't want to use the ff style, I don't have to.
Does yours automatically log you into that style?
Its not just about using it. Its about the affect it has on this place. It does so much and can mess things up so fast its not funny. And when your trying to follow a thread there really isn't that option any more because if comments are posted you can't see them as an alert. Also you have to reread everything over to make sense of it.Quote:

Come over to the law board sometimes and just read some of the threads a little. You will see answers in the comments sections and its not a liniar fashion. That is one board where clarity is very important. I watched one poster comment on 3 other ansers to the question and it was really hard to follow and also cut off parts of their answer.Quote:
