    Restless animals are VERY annoying.

The problem is that he's too hot in the house. He likes to be in the garage, where it's cooler, but he doesn't want to be out there alone. So I'll go out, do some of my woodworking and stuff, but as soon as I go inside he starts barking. He won't come in.

Then, when he does come in, he goes to the basement because it's cooler down there. Then he realizes that I'm upstairs, wants to be with me, but can't get back up the stairs.

When R gets home he sits in the garage, watches TV, has a few smokes, so Indy is happy. So you, I guess he does miss R, in a way. ;)

Poor bugger. What about getting him a fan upstairs?

OR you could get those blue ice packs, and put a pillow over them. It might keep him cool?

Have one. Also have a window air conditioner, just haven't put it in yet because I'm convinced that spring isn't stuck yet. It's only May, it will probably snow again before Spring springs eternal. ;)

I'm going to shave him. I usually do it every year, around June when it gets really hot, but I think I'll do it early this year. He's panting all the time, drinking tons of water. He's a really furry black dog. I'd be hot too if I had his coat.

I think I'll wait until I'm more awake before I shave him. It may not end well if I do it now.

Definitely! That will teach him. ;)

Okay dog experts, stupid question and remember that my brain is only functioning at 10% right now, so don't laugh and don't yell at me. ;)

Can I give Indy a sleeping pill, or a 1/4 of a sleeping pill, or anything to make him sleep at night? Chloroform, tea, eye of newt, tongue of bat? Seriously. If I have to go through one more night of this, one of us isn't going to survive. :(

I wouldn't give any human meds, but let me see if I can conjure up a home brewed natural relaxation potion.

There are drugs out there safe for dogs there are some herbal ones too, but with Indy I would ask your vet first to make sure.

I have some tablets here that a friend gave me that are herbal. I gave them to Cyrus before his last show and it make him very relaxed... unfortunately, they were given to me in a plastic zip bag so I don't know the name of them

Oooh! I'm totally up for a home brewed natural potion. Does it involve seltzer water?

Maybe it can be a two for one, clean Shazzy's carpet and make Indy sleep. We could sell the stuff by the truck load.

Oi. Okay, I'm starting to get dizzy. I need some sleep. The bed won't stop calling and I think I'm going to listen to it. Around 6 hours of sleep in the last 3 days is taking it's toll on me. I'm old, I'm not well, I need my darn sleep!

If this keeps up I'll be gone long before Indy. OMG! Is that his plan?

    :: poke, poke::

Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha. Now he's awake. :D

    Weeeeeee!

    Later all. Maybe. ;)

Valerian root extract is a time-honored herbal remedy used to relieve insomnia. It produces a mild calming effect and comes in pill, powder or liquid form or as a dried herb for infusion into a tea.

You bought drugs in a plastic zip bag? Oooh Shazzy, you're a bad a$$. ;)

Okay, the fact that I'm finding this amusing just shows how tired I am.

    Nighty nighty. Sleepy time.

Okay, really? Now the bird is chirping at the top of her lungs! :(

Marty. Shhhhhhhhh! No, don't whistle back, just shut your beak.

I'm getting a hotel room for the weekend. That's what I'm going to do. Oh, better idea. I'll put up the tent trailer and sleep there this weekend. Camping on my driveway. Sounds good to me.

    Later kids.

Lol cya later Alty, I'm probably going to bed once my carpets are dry, I have sprayed it with a hot water and 'linen fresh' washing powder mixture and I have a heater running in that room.

I like the idea of a 2 for one relaxer/cleaner... that way if the dogs sleep on the floor they are nice and mellow :D

WooHOO!! That was a suggestion YOU gave to me :D

It works eh? I no longer buy carpet cleaners, laundry soap work awesome. If you have Arm and Hammor with baking soda in it, it is the bomb!

I have a litter box, and it has kitty litter in it. I don't KNOW why the kittens prefer my carpet. The problem is, unless I CATCH them doing it, I can't punish them for it.

Will that make them STOP using the floor? The vinegar gets rid of the smell. I just want them to STOP POOPING ON MY FLOOR!
