Not the amount I have taken in today. Not to mention the load of butter I had on the last plate. Eh that's fine. Won't kill me I suppose. They were so darn good I just couldn't stop. Not one for will power.

    I love noodles :)

And the butter just helps the food to get down easier :D

She hasn't been on this site for about a week. I just emailed her that we are wondering where she is. I know she was job hunting, so she might have landed a job finally.

Bella, I thought Lady taught you how to prepare your porcupine so it wouldn't stick in your throat. :(

I hope all of us start feeling better. :)

Haha Cat, I should have taken some pointers from Lady!

It seems like everyone is getting sick. I hope it's not a new type of flu going around (H1N1).

I hope hheath is okay, I haven't seen her on Facebook either. Hopefully she is busy working, and hopefully all is well with her little furry family.

Well good to know someone else is ready too. Unfortunately, when I get to the weekend, I am just going to lay in bed all weekend to feel better.

After becoming part of the working world, I can apreciate doing that even more than last year when when I could get away with doing that for most of the week

Unfortunately I've got a few things that need sorting, there isn't no rest for the wicked :D

My father keeps telling me I need to drink a hot toddy. But something about hot whiskey and lemon juice doesn't do it for me. I did find a recipe with warm ginger ale and whiskey, might help with my laryngitis... I'll make one for you too Adam.

Warm milk and honey is good for that. The honey coats yor throat.

For hot drinks you can drink hot DrPepper and rum. Or add some bailey's to your favorite coffee.

Hello all. Morning bear. You all reet?

    Raining here too.

Had a busy spell catching up on some gardening, getting all the fruit and veg harvested before it spoils, cleaning the shed out, doing some maintenance on the guinea pig hutches before winter, christmas shopping - I like to have mine finished before the end of October so I made a start. Time to start buying ingredients for the christmas cakes next, which I always make mid October so I can feed them booze from then until December so they are lovely and moist and mature and rather naughty :). Am I a bit weird to be doing all this winter and christmas prep already lol? Especially as I spend a day playing christmas carols and drinking sherry in the middle of October when I'm baking the cakes...

Yeah I'm all reet thanks :)

    Hope your doing well :)

Your not weird, weird is that in work they've already started playing christmas songs

'hippopotamous(sp) for christmas' ring any bells?

It now rings in my head constantly, albeit they might just be playing them to piss our boss off but its kind of like cutting off your nose to spite your face :D

    Morning!
Christmas already is awesome to me! I love it. I love the prep for it and the entire build up. But on December 26 I am done with it. Its like a switch and I turn it off.

I better not get a "virus" from all you sickies out there. Gee whiz I feel great and now almost feel bad.

Aw... prepare the hot tea with lemon, the oranges and any citrus fruit you can get. They're rich in Vit C and will greatly help fight it. Lots of fluids and plenty of rest if possible.

    I dont get it.

    Sorry

I meant its usually celebrated for the entire month of December

Advent calendars leading up to it (your never too old for an advent calendar)

And in my family we have a fair few birthdays around christmas and after it so more partys leading up to new years eve, christmas decorations stay up of course so it still feels christmasy even though its past, if you get my meaning :)

    I don't know I haven't seen that movie

It's the kind that has a little chocolate for every day so when you get up in the morning you open the window and have the chocolate, leading up to the 25th :D
