Well, I am in Bedford, Indiana. It is in southern Indiana. About 90 miles south of Indianapolis and about 90 miles north of Louisville Kentucky or less.

Did you go to Thunder last weekend?

    Are you a derby boy?

I used to travel to Louisville a lot when my ex-husband was in a coma.

Takes about 6 hours from here by car.

I have never been to the derby. I didn't get the chance to go to Thunder, I asked people on here if they went though. I was going to and know several people in louisville because of work and would have got a good spot but plans changed and I ended up doing nothing. Lol. What did you do in Louisville?

Sat in Intensive Care most the time at Norton Audubon Hospital most of the time.

I know that the weekend of the race, the hotel was packed and I couldn't believe the hype of it all.

They kept talking about Thunder and it was so confusing as an outsider thinking that it was a big storm coming.

I did learn how to appropriately say 'Louisville' though.

I'm from Mauritius, a small island in the 'middle' of the Indian Ocean, of about 1870 km^2 of area with a mixed population amounting up to 1.2 million.

    http://www.iho-ohi.org/wp-content/mauritius.jpg

That one is in the South West of the Island; Le Morne

One of the beaches still at Le Morne

And Ile aux Cerfs, an Islet on the East, with fine beach. That's the great thing about Mauritius! :)

That's hilarious about the thunder thing though. It's not that big of a deal but to some people it is. Last time I went was when I was 9 and I remember my stepdad using my bookbag for school to fill full of beer and it stunk like it for awhile after. Lol

Was told it's supposed to be pronounced 'lowville'.

I really wanted to go to Thunder while I was down there. All the hype I couldn't help but be interested.

There were some great nurses there and since my ex-husband was so young, when he recovered they drown us with gifts, mostly from the Derby.

They actually refused to let me stay at my hotel because they didn't want to miss one single derby family and they didn't want to give me my hotel/hospital rate that was like $18/night.

Unky, can you do me a favor and tell me how much the hotels are to stay in? I am sure I could afford that but not the flight trip, I looked into going to indonesia and the hotels were affordable but the plane tickets round trip were 2500 dollars. Big bummer. Is it a huge island with any airports or just air strips? Lol

Well, I will try and make it look like it sounds: lewyville, or maybe even looiville. The middle sounds like the I in IT if that makes any sense. Lol

Yea, it would be pretty cool if I could go skydiving and request that location and then just land there and worry later about finding my way out.
