Yup, true... yesterday I had no connection, but today all is well, thank God. Well, I wouldn't like to chat in here... hijacking the thread of Shazzy. The others are in the castle.

I don't know whether to frame it or turn it into a card... hmmm...

What if you frame it and then copy it but make it smaller and use that in a card? Give him the card first.

    Yup :D
I turned it into a card and then did another painting for him :)
I liked that idea though, would have been good!

LOL! I realized that later and was thinking "someone will correct me eventually" I always seem to miss the good threads until they're pages long.

Love this thread, just realized that I have never really hung out in the lounge

Love your guys'es artistic side! Personally I draw, but my drawings are too big to put into my scaner (A3 size) but I have some pics though.) This is the first one I made in the A3 format. The pens I use are Shinhan- twin touch- markers. (love the markers really smooth.) I Included some of the details.

The Drawing is for a friend of mine and She loves Alice in Wonderland, lol so I included my fave details.

    That's amazing roxy!
I love the whole thing, her eyes, the butterflies, even the trees right down the bottom, beautiful work!
You colored that in with a marker? I'm going to have to get me some of those :D

Thank you so much Shaz :D It took way way long time though. Took about 30 min to draw up the outlines, and then about 8-9 hours to fill in the color.

Yup! Great markers. There are several other great markers as well that are produced in Korea: On-the-run ink, shinhan's twin- touch, Tria (although the latter is not my favorit) have to use special paper though. Has to be bleed proof. Or else you loose a lot of the marker ink. :D

I also started on a series of pics about anti-heroes. Lol the hole idea started because a friend of mine and I both share the love of super-hero-movies. And he loves superman (which I see as kind of whiny. At least in the later movies. Ps: sorry if anyone is offended by that) ;)

Anyway, I made a drawing of superman gone bad ;) although I think his head is kind of tiny...

    Haha, his head looks fine!!

I love it, He looks great but what really caught my eye at first was the buildings in the background, so detailed!

You do realise you have to post more right :D

Here's a picture of Zoe when she was a puppy. I just like to play with photos. Other than that I'm not very creative.

    8-9 hours
I would definitely lose all concentration after about an hour :D

I will have a look for those markers, and the paper, thanks!

I'm the same, I get a bit dog obsessive :o
I could talk about them for hours... days even :D
I haven't done any paintings of my dogs though... probably should do that!

Yup. It does get tiering lol after a couple of hours :p but its an entire A3 page filled to the edge. After this I've started to make some on the same size paper, but I but a nice square in the middle as a focus point. Which takes less time! LOL thankfully.

And yes! Check out the markers! Great great great! Hehe and I can post some more. Gosh there is one that I gave to someone at work. I didn't snap a photo of it though :( but It was prob my best ever! And when I go home (I'm vacationing at my parents house) I can see if I can snap some more photos and put them out.

This one I just called Duality. Or I should have called it Double Trouble. Another villans pic.

    Just Dahlia
Roxy.. pics were great, keep posting! I always loved markers, wish I had time.. :(

Zoe.. You are beautiful! (I didn't realize that you were a Great Dane!):o

ZoeMarie.. The Tulips were perfect, you should blow it up and have it framed. They have another thing (don't know what it's called) but they take the picture and make it into a painting or such. It looks really cool and looks just like the photograph you took.

Just Dahlia: Thanks :) Markers are GREAT hehe :D sad that you don't have enough time though. It def takes a lot of time.

Marie, I envy anyone that can take a photo that clear!! No matter what I do I end up with fuzzy edges or bad lighting :(

So here's the artwork I did today for my 18th birthday invites.
    http://i195.photobucket.com/albums/z...ipesfornet.jpg
Was pretty easy to do, just looked at a photoshop tutorial and then adjusted the technique for what I wanted to do.

Hehe shaz! I wish you had Yahoo I could use some suggestions about the picture I am thinking of putting on it. But the background is lime, black, with a small silver pinstripe all angled, it's sweet! Hooray for floating medium mixed with acrylic!

I am hopeless at being creative...
This is the most abstract thing I have ever painted (below) Our walls our grey and out kitchen appliances are red so I had to do something to match :D
I usually just stick to portraits.

My art teacher hated me because I wouldn't do anything 'artistic'
Sounds like it going to be very colorful when you finish it, are you doing it for anything special or just because you wanted to do a painting?

Speaking of buying stuff, I went to Rivers with my mum today and she bought me a really cool retro looking leather jacket :p (One of those brown leathers ones with the white/red stripes going down the arms)
Its going to look so good with my Nirvana t shirt, my suade moccassinish shoes and my jeans :p
