Let's see, good things. The kids are at home because the buses aren't running so I get to spend extra time with them. My hubby is working nights so he's home right now, and if he can't get out of the driveway then he'll take the day off. The kids and I are going to watch a movie, eat popcorn and turn on the gas fireplace tonight. That's about it. But, the weather is supposed to warm up on Wednesday, and I'm holding them to that promise. :)

Sir Stringer has once again protected the ladies of the kingdom from dire mental straights and unfortunate attitudes of self-pity... :) We thank thee, kind sir.

I just want to say that I put on some strappy black heels today, and I look GREAT!

I can't keep up with you anymore, though. So... when I pop in, I'll read the last 5-10 posts and try to follow the conversation from there :)

    Heh.

I wear flats because I fall on my face wearing heels with all the running around I do.

When I found myself taking off my shoes so I could run at least twice a day, I just switched to flats.

I just need clunky heels to come back into fashion.

I was blown away by it! And actually given to me from 2 people I have never actually met in person, but I feel like I've known them all of my life. They are wonderful people.

I won't get into it much on here. But my ex was very abusive to me, and we actually just got done with the court battle almost 1 month ago. My ex sis-in-law and her husband felt so bad with the way things went with my ex, that they surprised me with a phone call at C'mas time, and said they had made arrangements for me to have a vacation with them this coming Aug. and they wouldn't take no for an answer!

There sure are some wonderful, caring people out there aren't there! :D

I'm happy for you Starby! Sounds like you'll have a beautiful time.

I miss traveling. When I was living in China, I'd just "go" for the weekend. Fly to Beijing, check myself into the Marriot, and shop for two straight days. It was awesome.

Oh yes... SHOPPING!! We are also going to go to France, and Holland after the cruise. I am going to treat them to that. I have been to almost every state in the US, and have been to Mexico... but have never been anywhere in Europe. The whole trip sounds just surreal to me.

all the shoe talk reminds me of a discussion I had with my wife a few weeks ago. She likes to ask my opinion about clothes and outfits, as it seems I have an eye for what works. I may not buy it off the rack, but she can put something together and I can tell her what's good and what's not, and she trusts my eye.

she's prone to heeled boots and shoes, which I love, but of couse has a range of shoes, heels or not.

so she said after coming home one night, and after I had complimented her on her great outfit, "so you liked those shoes with that outfit"... to which I paused, blushed a little, and said smiling "im sorry honey, i didnt make it down to your shoes... kind of got lost in the middle"... busted.

oh well. She wasn't so surprised. She's used to my seeing her in strappy sandals, painted toes, and a breezy outfit and my telling her she needs to take that outfit off, which prompts "whats wrong with it", which leads to the now anticipated "nothing. It's a great outfit. I just REALLY want to strip those clothes off you right now." =) thank goodness she seems to like me well enough.

ungh. She's travelling a bunch right now and I'm obviously missing the girl. I should be outright punchy, cranky, and looking for fights by the end of next week. Apologies to all in advance.

nuff threadjacking... tho' its really not threadjacking if the OP said to drink and complain.

LMAO!. An interesting read there! Your wife is lucky to have you to come home to. What a compliment to her! Have you got a brother? lol.

I guess Sneezy isn't here. Can I get you a cocktail so you don't go off too cranky? Hehe!
