Now how the HECK did you do that Batman?? Must be a slow day at work? LOL!

Soooo, I had an interesting evening! I went out to get a few groceries. I took Niki with me as usual, since she LOVES car rides. We got back home, and wandered through the jungle in my backyard (which EVERY lawn service that has been hired, hasn't shown up for months now so the weeds are taller than me)

I was tredding through, back and fourth with bags full of groceries, when all of a sudden, I heard this rattling sound! Thinking I was hearing things, I brought the bags into the house, and went to go back for more. Well now I hear this rattling noise once more, and in the dark, I look around to see a coiled rattlesnake!! It was about ready to strike!

Niki started to head for it, and I dropped my bags and was screaming and running, and screaming at the top of my lungs for Niki to COME! The neighbor came out to see what all the fuss was, and I screamed at him, and told him to put his dog in, because there was a rattler. The snake nearly got her and me, and I ran and grabbed her by the collar and we ran like hell!

I called Animal Control, and they wandered into the jungle, scared too because it was dark, and with the weeds they couldn't see anything. They spent a good hr rustling the weeds with their snake tools, waiting for it to come out, so they could put in it their cage! They were not too happy! I stayed inside, and only kept the door open enough to peek my head out, while Niki barked her A$$ off the entire time!

They finally got the snake, although the one guy I really thought was going to get "hit" by the rattle. They had a really hard time getting it into their cage.

Now I just hope this wasn't a pregnant rattler! Geeeezzzzz! Enough excitement for me!!

Eeeeekkkk! No more snakes!! Yikes... they're not very friendly! ;) I'm just glad I saw it before he decided to strike! They are nasty little Bastards! I'm going to have nightmares!

In my defense, I've only been in the states for 12 years.
