Ginger always helps to settle a tummy. You can get the all natural gravol, that is only made with ginger, doesn't make you drowsy, but helps big time with the nausea and poops.

I don't think it's a cold anyway. It's a tummy thing. I don't have the sniffles, or a sore throat, just a really yucky tummy, throwing up, weak, and blah! We plan to go to the museum tomorrow. Throwing up and pooing my guts out in the museum is not my idea of gits and shiggles.

    Mushrooms? Do tell. ;)

Here are a few things you can try. First off stick to clear liquids for a little. I suggest chicken bullion cubes. Yes its salty but it will help get your stomach back. Another thing if you have it is drink camomile tea. It will sooth you and is a great healer for many things both internal and external. When you start feeling better go on a BRAT diet till your feeling good enough to eat solids. If you have never heard of brat diet (Bananas, Rice, AND Toast). You will feel better in no time. Hope its soon too :)

You could also try Sprite and soda crackers.

    Thanks ladies.

I'll try it all. Chicken noodle soup will be on the stove in a bit. Sadly I don't do pop. My poor tummy can't handle pop, it's used to beer and coffee. ;)

I don't have peppermint. :( I do however have a beautiful amethyst necklace. I never wear it because it's huge. If I ever get an invite to dine with the queen, it's the perfect accessory. ;) It was a wedding gift from a friend of the family. I was supposed to sell it as a down payment on a house. It's from the 1700's, white gold. I think I have a picture. Let me find it.

I'll try that. Wear it under my shirt tomorrow. :)

Now Ginger ale or Ginger I can handle.

Actually, I think I have some Ginger tea. I'll brew that while I'm making the soup. :)

I was just about to say the same thing ^_^

amethyst is very possibly my favorite stone, ever. Not only is it gorgeous, it's a very versatile and useful stone to have around.

If I lost it I could never live with myself.

That thing sits in a drawer, never been worn. It was appraised 20 years ago and well, it could pay off my house.

I'd be too scared to wear it. I'm too scared to sell it. It's my safety net. ;)

It is a beautiful necklace, but it's not an every day necklace. It's "tea with the queen" or "getting married" type of jewelry.

It's huge. It's heavy. It's blingy. It's everything I'm not. I wear earrings, and that's about it. When I wear a necklace it's the one my dad gave me or the one R gave me (the one R gave me is half a heart with my birth stone in the middle. It represents the half of my heart that I lost when my parents died, and the half I still have because of him and the kids). Feel free to laugh. I'm a very symbolic person.

Things that mean a lot to me aren't necessarily things that are the most beautiful, or the most expensive, they're just the things that hold meaning, that hold memories, that make me feel warm and cuddly, loved.

The amethyst, although beautiful, has no special meaning to me. It's just a necklace. In fact, the person that gave it to me cut off contact shortly after my parents died. He's an old man, lives in Germany, and the only reason he gave me the necklace to begin with was because of his love for my parents. I haven't talked to him in 9 years, he won't take my calls, claims it's too hard to talk to me. He once said "you should have died instead of you mother. She was so much more important then you".

Wearing the necklace isn't on the top 10 list of things to do, but I will if it will help me feel better, because my family is here from Germany and I get to see them. I'd like to be well enough to have fun tomorrow, to make some memories, because frankly, it may be 20 years before I see them again. :(

What a horrible man. What would we do without you? He should know you have the best heart of anyone. Gosh that makes me mad. He sounds like a very bitter man. It's his loss Alty... :)

I'm with kitty on this. Horrible, bitter, old man. I can see why you don't really love the necklace.

Do you have any other stones or jewelry with stones in it? I might be able to help you find something else that will work.

    Thanks Kit.

It was hard to accept. I call him Uncle, have since I was a child. He was a huge part of my life. He and his late wife came to visit us often, and we went to visit them.

They never had kids. I was always told that I was like a grandchild to them. They're much older then my parents were. In fact, he would be in his early nineties now. Yes, he's still alive.

To lose both my parents and then lose him, it was hard.

I'm not bitter about it anymore, I'm just sad about it. Sad for him, sad for me. I don't want to be angry, but it's not always easy.

He loved my parents very much. I thought he loved me too. I guess not. No loss though. I have many people that love me and I love them right back. :)

As I said.. when you needed him most he wasn't there. I think that's beyond reprehensible.. I will say a prayer for him to realize what he's lost by not having you and your sweet children and R. in his life. He's the one whose lost out!

I heard a loud popping noise about an hour ago, but ignored. Heard a louder one a few minutes ago, that sent all the cats running for cover, so I went to investigate.

I put eggs on to boil after making french toast. That was about 3-4 hours ago.

You figure out what the noise was.

Sapphire is a symbol of faithfulness, loyalty, and love. Unfortunately, it has no effect on tummy troubles, at all.
