Actually Tick I have been a fan of his and have all his movies on DVD. So much so that when we purchased the furniture for our dining room, we bought the 1940's style Bogart table, chairs, lamps, large table, and more. I have a large 4 1/2 foot X 3 1/2 foot original poster framed in a 1940's frame on the wall along with three other smaller ones. And I have three biographies on the table with the lamps; One Bogart, one Becall and Ingrid Bergman.

I searched forever for a bust of Bogart under $1,800.00. The rights were purchased some time ago by a man who wants an arm and a leg for even a 6" high one.

Like I said to you before my husband has been for over 30 years. There are times I just look in his eyes and I know he is low. I almost lost him one night he wasnt responsive and I tested and he was only 28. OUCH! But he is much worse then you and has been for many many years. Plus that one night we drank alot. Which he isnt supposed to do. Let me tell you I can answer it all.

I walked the walk with my husband for over 5 years. He could do just about anything and get his sugar to level out EXCEPT drink alcohol. One alcoholic drink and he was over the edge.

Can't even tell you how many times - and nothing to do with alcohol because he knew he couldn't drink - I found him unresponsive.

There should be more education about Diabetes - so many people think it's a matter of not eating sugar OR "simply" giving yourself injections. Few people understand the organ damage one high, one low can cause.

The more education, the better -

I hear you Judy. When I found my husband unresponsive they said we were lucky. Him being like that for any length of time will cause brain damage. ( some days I wonder... ok sick joke) But that's not the firs time. He has told me times when he was a child and was in the hospital for being low. He told me he saw himself laying on the bed and his mother, sister and sister-in-law were there. He had an out of body. Scary. Took him years to tell me that. But its true. Its not about what your eating and the shots and medicine. Even stress can make your sugar levels go crazy. Anything can do it. You just have to know your own body.

Some of us probably did that (dancing in the rain) when we were younger. We just forgot how. I will do, but only in my backyard, or they will think I am crazier then they already imagined !

Very true Tick, some people grow up and never do those things again... it's sad.
It makes you feel free and alive, like jumping into the cold ocean and just being thankful that it is there and that you can feel the cold water around you.
