Awesome. I brought in no bake cookies a couple weeks ago... I make the best ones ever, but since I know what goes into a no bake cookie... it makes my heart want to stop beating, lol.

So where are y ou going camping this weekend? We used to go to a campground at the lake with my grandparents and stay in their trailer.

One of the guys owns a "back 40" of woods... we're just headed out there. Should be fun. :)

That is, if the thunderstorms don't come... I'm not opposed to a light rain while camping, but Day After Tomorrow stuff is a little bit daunting...

Yeah, we're supposed to have some severe storms here tonight, so that would get them to you around middle of the night or morning.

Awww... J_9... that makes me sad...

    Rah...

Wondering what that is going to mean for camping... hmm...

It's going to mean that 'Roughing it' will earn it's title this weekend :)

It really depends on what it does crossing over the Mississippi... LOL, I can forewarn you about upcoming weather like a weatherman/woman.

Many times it just breaks up coming over the Mighty Mississip... It also depends on what direction it is heading. Hopefully we won't get ANY, we are way too wet already.

We usually get the leftovers from Chicago, but it's amplified over all the humidity while it crosses lake Michigan. Lately, though, everything has been coming up from around Kentucky and circling the oppisite direction... it's been nice and dry, and warm.

I agree, J_9... its been wet around here too. Beautiful lately, but we're already well over the normal rain allowance...

Lake Michigan... Resty, you always take me back to my childhood... I love it! :)

Lake Michigan is Beautiful... My kids got to finally experience it last summer...

I remember spending senior skip day at Lake Michigan. Tunnel Park I do believe.

Sadly, I left MI after 5th grade... didn't get to experience a skip day at Tunnel Park... but MANY a day at Greenfield Village! Still love that place.

Lol, I love the holland state park, I don't know that I've been to tunnel park. I know iv'e driven by quite a few times... when I did cable, I worked in holland every now and then.

I don't think I was actually gone on skip day... I'm pretty sure that was the day of the AP exam for my AP Calculus class. Everyone who didn't want to take the exam got to play Pretty Pretty princess with the teacher. I heard that he won... it was a sad, sad day for my calculus.

Duck Lake was by far my favorite beach though. It has the big sand dunes and very few people.

I remember camping up in Muskegon many years ago (can't remember the name of the park)... My husband (boyfriend then) was cooking bacon and eggs over the campfire, and we were tuning in the radio... could only get Milwaukee radio stations for some reason and the report of Jeffrey Dahlmer came on. Needless to say, we dumped the bacon and eggs in the campfire. LOL

Urgh... I'm going to pray that I don't think about that tomorrow morning when I pop my head out of my tent to the luscious smell of eggs and bacon... ;)

    Lol, you're both too funny.

J, I've never been to duck Lake either! I passed a sign for it about a million times on my way from Allegan to Gobles, yet again to install cable... worked all over the freakin SW Mich area. Every time I drove by the sign I would laugha little... Duck Lake. Quack Quack.

OHG, HC, the storms may be over before you go camping. The thunder just started here, so give it a couple of hours to reach you if it's going in that direction.

I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.

I take that back. Apparently there are two lakes called Duck Lake in SW Michigan. One is by lansing, and is huge. That's probably the one you're talking about.

The other one is like... straight west, lol. Past US131 and just past M40.

Thanks! Hopefully it will be gone by this evening... we'll see. A little rain never hurt anyone, but TN thunderstorms... that's a different story! :)

It's been raining here for 3 days.

    We need it though.

What we do NOT need, though, is the snow it's turning into tonight.

Rah. So excited about my drive now.

And my god, I am going crazy with my job.

Someone give me coffee and chocolate and a nap, okay?
