Thanks for the tip tick. I'll look more into it and find out what would work.

I have heard a lot of people say that about moods dropping in winter and elevating in spring. I don't have that, I am elevated all the time. It is light deprivation you know, but I am out walking all through winter so I guess I am not bothered by light deprivation, or whatever.
I go tanning in the winter, the big time lighting and heat are most welcomed, and it's free(I do services for the shop),, plus I look great(Humble me), If I feel I look good, that is good enough for me(Naturally I like to hear others tell me I look good too:p, just saying
Ken congrats on quitting the cigarettes, proud of you!
As you know, I really know how hard it is to quit. Quitting is easy, I have done it many times, staying quit is the goal... you can do this.
Well best of luck Ken. I've been trying to quit for some time now. It's only during the day that I crave them. That and when I see someone else smoking.
I was thinking of trying Champax (spelling?). It's supposed to have a 98% success rate. I was even hospitalized with pneumonia for three weeks, and when I got out, let me tell you that first smoke never tasted so good.
I've cut back significantly, but I can't seem to stop all together. Are you going cold turkey?
How can you be basically male?
Try putting a uv bulb in a lamp and sitting by it for a couple hours a day to relieve the seasonal depression. The bulbs are expensive, but I'm sure you'd rather pay a bit for a bulb every now and then rather than spend all winter depressed.
I know you don't know me(yet), but for the past 43 years(all my life) I have had depressive episodes, and manic episodes(they were called hyperactivity when I was young)
I have been through most every type of therapy, from actual light therapy,to biofeedback.Breathing therapy, etc.
The best I have ever been,(last winter),ended up with a serious manic fit after a full winter of levelness(this time last year I had a major overdose and a lengthy stay inpatient), I don't brush off others ideas for help, but I know what works for me,, and what doesn't.
Don't get me wrong, right now I am really high, the combination of the smoking patch and the seasonal changes has me off the wall, but not as bad as last year, and this year I have a very good professional support group.(Of which I use)
Hope this makes sense,I am so high right now,I'm not sure it does.
Hey guys! Great news.
Your positive vibes did work (at least, that's what I think :)) Mum got to the office of the social security today, and had the luck to meet with a kind mister. He understood the situation and said that we needn't worry, we'll be having the money from the previous months too! :)
Sorry to hear that KISS, I'll send the vibes back to you. That must be awful, that pollen allergic. I have a friend with that sort of allergic, and it's not nice at all for him... Good luck! :)
I think I'd be the one to be worried :eek:Quote:

All you nicotine fiends, don't quit. Just put off lighting the next one. I've been procrastinating on that for 3 years now. It may still be a while before I light my next one.
Uh, Cats... "fiends"? ;)
Oh, OK, I thought you meant 'friends' :o
