Oh yea I always forget about school being out. I hardly ever see kids. Haha

I'm actually thinking about travel nursing. I'm hoping someone can talk me out of it. LOL But the money is GREAT. The downside is being so far away from my kids for so long... but Hawaii is very enticing.

My friends mom is a traveling nurse. She gets paid GREAT money, like really good. There are a few downsides to it though like not finding a hospital to sign a contract to for a few or being stuck somewhere sucky during the winter but hey, the pay makes up for it all.

OMG, I would love to talk to her! I don't care about the winter... I lived in Alaska for heaven's sake. The downside to me is missing my family, but hubby could be mister mom...

Well, winter shouldn't bother you then in most places. Her partner is a traveling nurse as well so they get to do it together and not be apart and she just left her house to her son which is my friend but obviously you can't do that. Haha. I think I heard her next place is in California. I think that would be cool.

The best places I've found so far are California, Hawaii, New Mexico, Arizona... all out west.

I'd like to try to make it work, but my job right now is a perfect fit and I'd be afraid to give that up.

It is scary to make risks sometimes I know that for sure. I am not a risk taker but I would like to be sometime if it meant a great pay.

I'd love to take risks... I've always been too cautious. Maybe it's my midlife crisis.
