No no.. Burning is not only "it".

I also have a tendency to make things explode.

My muffins somehow exploded and I can swear to you that I followed the recipe to the "T".

My cookies oozed everywhere it was more like a pie shell instead of separate little circles..

One time I made cupcakes they looked done, they also looked like little mountains [very pointy] and the inside was still uncooked..

Ahhh... baking. I am no Betty Crocker I tell you... and Martha's tips can suck it.

    Oopps.

    Yes and Yes guys.

It was great, had a workout although that certainly wasn't the initial plan... horseback riding, bicycling, walking (and walking), tours with horse driven carriages, some R & R, and oh yeah... shopping... we didn't miss a store. We had to buy extra luggage to bring the 'stuff' back...

Had dinner at the Grand Hotel, fabulous...

    Tons of pics and movies...

But, it is really nice to be back, thanks for missing me.

EDIT::: oh yeah Muddy, we went to Mackinac Island for eight days.

Thanks hon, I just got back about an hour or so ago, 9 hours of driving and across tha Mackinac bridge. Five miles long and 199 feet above Lake Huron... everyone was going about 20 MPH... slow, very slow, that bridge sways in the wind it seems.

I need to get all the pics developed and the movies also. I'm sure that I will have to edit them first... it seems some great looking women ended up in my pics and movies... hmmmm?

You know NM I really can't explain it, (as I told Marta - although she just smiled). It seems that the camera and camcorder had a mind of it's own you know... :D And they were simply everywhere I pointed the damn camera

Thank you M, it's nice to be back, but honestly it was also nice to get away for a while to. Although Marta took this as a opportunity to excessively exorcise me... man she walked my but off.

There are about 15 shops there that make every kind of fudge fresh daily and we had to sample each shop... so she had me walking to get rid of the 'pleasure.'

Yes, I appreciate the offer to post them for me, I should have them all developed in a few days, hopefully, and I will email them to you. I really need to get the posting down for myself, I hate to bother you with this stuff...

We are already planning our next trip to the Grand Canyon and several cities in California... especially San Francisco.

    Muddy, it was.

Google the Island House Hotel that is where we stayed and also the Grand Hotel... simply breath taking. Except for emergency vehicles, there are no motor vehicles on the Island. Only horses, carriages, etc it is amazing to wake in the morning to the hoof beats of the horses on the cobble streets... it is very Colonial and Victorian. The Island House was built in 1852 in all the grandeur possible for the time.

We had a great time and everyone was so friendly... I became a little suspicious (kidding). :D But of course, I am a good tipper.

Loved the Grand Canyon , Im definately planning on going back one day.

I understand that it is amazing M

Sis in Law just got back from the Canyon, Vegas, Mt Rushmore, San Fran, and a few other places with pics, she took a bus trip for a week.. she said the only thing that she didn't like was that she only had a day at each location. She took the helicopter tour of the Canyon. She said that, that was one hell of an impressive hole in the ground... :)

I have been to Canada, Mexico and Europe, it is a shame that there are so many places in the US that I haven't seen as yet, but I will.

    Thanks buddy.

Hey all!! I just noticed that the admin have been changing the 'layout' of the site.

    1. The 'search box' is bigger and blue!
    2. The 'Ask' and 'answer' buttons are now on the upper central part of the site.
    3. The 'My Profile', 'Log Out' and 'Help' buttons are on the same line, on the upper right side of the site.

    Seems I've got a peeve...
