Good morning from the great state of Texas we have a cool 77 degrees and a hot cup of coffee, what more can I ask for? (nevermind) Have to go back to Dallas this morning I tutor adults for their GED test but will be back for lunch (HINT) The wife and I spent all day yesterday in Dallas seeing the sites and eating tacos, enchiladas, and ice cream. So much for the diet. Another cup of coffee anyone?

Sorry to hear about that show. It was starting to get interesting. I guess folks are really not that interested of seeing a female Pres, even on TV, or maybe give any thought to it should you know who should run in 08 huh? Thanks J9.

Wow, this is great! I can imagine the comfy sofas and the refreshments, then all of us just chilling and chatting.

Can any of you sleep at night in this record heat - Europe - England has record high temps and so does Germany. People are even staying home during their vacation because they don't need to chase the sun.

So, for all of you who are used to Air Conditioning, please send some cool vibes my way - these fans just don't do it. I miss having a pool in the apartment complex like I had in Vegas.

    Have a wonderful day..

Well, gee... where was I when the party started?

Oh yeah... I was in Berkley seeing one of the best shows I think I have ever seen. The Flaming Lips in concert! What a show! Now, I am not saying that they are the best band or anything, though they are great, but they can put on a concert!! What a party it was! And it was at the Greeek Theater in Berkley, CA. Best show yet, I must say!

Anyway, g'day all. J_9... you got any Crown back there behind the bar?

So chery what's the first thing you are going to do with the new grandkid?

I also would like to say that this lounge is pretty cool, because I will get of my computer around 2 am wake up around 12 and there is already like 15-20 posts.

The heat is coming again, and CALIFORNIA IS EXPECTING ROLLING BLACKOUTS! Camping trip anyone? I read a report online about the energy crisis and it's already gotten worse than 2000-2001, the reason it isn't so bad yet is because of the new equipment. However reports from the energy sites are that it will die out soon, very soon, too soon. They recommend shutting down useless electrical stuff. But I need to have my cell phone charging, my TV on, my computer going, the ac blowing, and my toaster struddles toasting or else I can't make it through the day. You know what I mean? In all seriousness though, I have turned down my electrical stuff, but I get a little pissed, because somehow I feel like I am the only one who cares. I mean even if I decided to only have the ac going and watch paint dry to entertain myself, what keeps my neighbor from using everyoutlet in his house! The heat is rising and the power is fading :(. Honestly it will only be a matter of time before the lights go out in California. That is why I have developed a back up plan. I AM GOING TO RUN MY HOUSE ON BATTERIES. Now I need your guy's is help here, please if you have any extra batteries, please send them to

555 North West Burboun Street. San Francisco. (Don't actually send them, I don't live there, but with my luck it will be an actually house and I don't want to give a stranger free batteries.)

Anyway, I think the heat is making me delirious, either that or I haven't seen the outside world in days...

Wizz.. I've been spending so much time talking to and rubbing 'peanut' that I'm sure the kid is going to come out and utter his/her first words - Shut up gamma!

It's been so much fun lately, watching him/her have some serious hiccups, changing positions and tell Mom not to eat too much garlic or the gas will be sent right back up..

I've had my movie camera with me like a third arm and got some real cute footage. Even from the doctor's office where the fetal heart tones are checked - it takes around twenty minutes, and the sounds are loud - peanut does not like to hear the loud thump, thump, and really moves a lot to try and get those connections off Moms tummy. It freaks me out just to watch.

Jaime does not want to know the sex, but the heartbeat is so fast, that I think it's going to be a girl. Will let you all know as soon as it gets here.

As for your energy problem, don't they have the opportunity to go for solar energy near you home? It seems to work pretty good - just the initial installation might cost, but it does work.

Golly, just went to edit my... comment and saw an agreement - what did you agree to? Did I just give away our secret?? Sorry.

Just to add some ballast for Wizz to how awful rolling blackouts must be... we lived for fifteen days two summers ago in the aftermath of that first big hurricane without power or any kind of support. It was beyond camping. I lost ten pounds in just about ten days when I don't need to lose any, mostly over the unbelievably hard effort of digging out and cleaning up all while in a totally stressed to the max condition like some kind of a low grade shock. The hardest sight I can still recall is seeing three big vultures sitting low in a tree close by as I first ventured outside picking off the dead wildlife as it came floating by while trying to determine how far out from a downed powerline the current would be should it somehow still be live in all that standing water just before I stepped into it. Not fun either.

O damn chery that was weird, when I saw your comment earlier, it was just... so I was wondering why would you put.. and I was like well I'll join in on the fun so I just went and did... I like the peanut name lol. Also, I can totally imagine you and videocamera recording everything lol.

Val, I have family and friends in Florida, and that really was hard when Katrina went through. I know your not talking about katrina, however it seems what you went through really had to suck. The only thing I am not looking forward to is not being able to use my computer if a rolling blackout comes this way and no a/c. If it get's too bad, I might just go take a trip up to some friends and family in Seattle.

Why am I always the last one to arrive to a party, even a cyber party at that! J9, I will happily take a popsicle, lemon flavor is cool. Sorry to hear about your little one's shots today, I cry way more than my kids ever do.

Chery, I had no idea you were expecting... a grandbaby that is.. congrats!

I've been living off popsicles and ice water for the last 2 weeks or so, like Wizz, I too live in California (southern) and we're being toasted. We had to put an EZ up over the pool to make it bearable.

But this lounge is nice and we can have as much kool-aid as we want with out worrying about drinking and driving since my bedroom is only 50 feet away!

    Momincali, welcome!!

You for sure are not the last to arrive at the party, we are still expecting more.

I have set the temp here at 70, if anyone wants it any cooler we can do that too, but in respect for those that are experiencing the heatwave, the thermostat goes no higher.

    Anyone for some watermelon?

Mom, I have cantalope and salt for you LOL.
