Well, it was gone by the time the kids were up, but I did get to see a flake or two. Now I'm trying to figure out what to have for dinner.

    ...

    Leftover turkey?

Blah... I don't care for the taste of leftover meat, anyway, I didn't cook, so don't have any. I'm thinking some homemade chicken soup, or our own little Tday dinner with chicken rather than turkey. I didn't get enough stuffing!!

    I'm making turkey soup :)

I LOVE the week after Thanksgiving. So many new recipes to try!

We always have it at my MIL's house so not many leftovers after 21 people have sat down and eaten. We usually have our own little family Tday the following week with just the 4 of us. I think I'm going to do that tomorrow.

Synnen.. I LOVE Turkey Soup... mom makes it every year with the leftovers.. She hasn't mentioned it this year though :(

J_9.. we have a big family (on my husband's side) too... never any leftovers
BTW could you send me some of your flurries... I haven't seen snow in years! We supposedly get it every 4 years, but it's been 5 or 6.. can't really remember

A virtual bar?? Fantastic, I can order what I want and I only have to pay virtual money and have a virtual hangover. If it's like that I want some sort of Absinthe cocktail.

How is everyone? All turkeyed up it seems. I felt really sorry for the american in our lab far away from home missing thanksgiving because nobody even thinks about it here. I think someone took her out for pint and a curry.

http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/28/28_4_8.gif´Here you go hon.. I know what it is like to have no snow, I love it. We mowed the lawn and cut roses in Japan, and in Georgia we had snow once, Jan 3, 1976... that was the day I conceived my daughter too. It only stayed about a hour and then there was no sight of it anymore.
I was hoping never to see snow again for the rest of my life because I wanted to move to Las Vegas and live with my brother.. those plans are nil now, because of money and health reasons. But, the good part is that I can see how my grandson Alexander Bryce will like it. He is 15 months old and it will practically be his first experience with snowballs. So, I guess I'll tolerate it one more time.

I'm an alcoholic, and dry for twenty or more years now, but Absinthe sounds like something I just might be willing to try... so far the medication is helping me enough though, and I still have time to decide what type of 'coctail' I'll make for myself when the time comes.

Every time I come here, I get virtually drunk and have fun and the virtual hangover is not as bad as a real one, thank goodness.

I have severe back muscle strain, with a possible herniated disc.

I get to sit around today and take it easy, with muscle relaxers! Whoohoo!

    startover22
Oh goodness Synn... NO! You need ice and love... and a muscle relaxer or two won't hurt you! Did you end up at the doctor?
  • Nov 26, 2007, 10:24 AM
    Synnen
Yeah... when I couldn't lift my purse without doubling over in pain, and my husband had to put on my shoes--he put his foot down and dragged me to the urgent care.

Muscle relaxers make me feel kind of loopy though.
  • Nov 26, 2007, 10:36 AM

Loopy? Like he can do what ever he wants loopy?
Glad you went sweet! Good for him taking care of you like that! AND good for you!

I get loopy like nitrous loopy. I just want to lay around and not sleep, but just kind of... doze.

It's kind of like being high, I guess. Not that a good girl like me would know anything about that.

I have no idea what you are talking about either... LOL
