I looked into it. He's really torturing himself. As for the ex I'm pretty sure he's over analyzing that too.

Nothing wrong with still talking to you ex.

I'm pretty sure he's just overthinking, nothing a little pre maritial counselling won't fix. That way he can ask the questions with a mediator around and clear the air.
