Last month, my wife tells me, "my sister got diamonds for her aniversary".

How's a guy suppose to respond to a remard like that?

I said, "he's kinda early. You'll get yours on our 75th."

It cost me $2k in jewelry!! And I just paid off my MC. I wonder what my wife would say if I tell her that her jewelry was a combination anniversary AND Christmas present?

This brother-in-law of hers is nuts. He bought her sister a Rolex on the first anniversary (their anniversary is two weeks before ours). The first anniversary is nothing so that's what I got my wife- but I took her out for dinner. Seven years later I am still reminded of that fateful day.

One constillation, on my sister-in-law's fourth anniversary she got her watch factory serviced ($400). It turns out the Rolex warranty is void if you don't get it factory serviced at the recommended intervals. Ha, Ha. $400 would buy 25 new watches for me!

    Think I'll have another coffee.

Time means nothing but I'll take the 400 bucks any day.

Yeah, isn't that something, $400/ four years just to own a watch. It saved my bacon though. Whenever the mood hit her, my wife use to always tell me, "remember our first aniversary, when you got me NOTHING?"

Now I tell her, remember your sister's fourth anniversary, when she got nothing? Guess what's going to happen on her eighth anniversary, she's going to get nothing... and her 12th, 16th. Gee, I wonder what she'll get on her 50? Let me guess... NOTHING!

Oops, a laps in mental division, but you get the point. Also, my wife's not good at math!

Think I'll have another coffee (cup #24)

Hey where are the girls ? It looks like the guys have taken over the lounge. Does this mean we can take our shoes off? Yeah, another cup of coffee is in order.

If I take my shoes off, I can assure you the girls won't come back.

My wife always says, "Get your feet away from the baby; they stink."

Personally, I don't see the baby complaining. Second, where do you put your feet?

You know the rules-Mouth closed and never bend over, feet have a way of getting into exposed cavities.

    wow. Yeah.

someone left the door open to the lounge and we boys sauntered in. too funny.

better spray the air before we leave. Then at least it'll smell like stale feet AND roses. =)

speaking of that, my wife and I have had a YMCA membership for forever, and we really like it. She had the Y upgrade (more private locker room, daily locker laundry service, jacuzzi in the locker room). One day after the workout we go out separate ways to get cleaned up and when I walk out of the lockerroom she asked why my nose was turned up a little. The guys lockerroom had some "plumbing issues" and that plus the hot steam made a lovely smell.

our tag line about gym lockers ever since had been girls lockerrooms smell like flowers and butterflies while guys lockers just smell like butts.

maybe the girls won't notice. =)

T-Man, pick up your kool-aid glass and put it in the dishwasher already!

Just wondering, why do feet stink?

I don't sweat. I change my socks 1X/day. I don't have any fungus or other disgusting feet problems. Actually, my feet look quite good. They're small too at size 8.

It must be these work shoes. At least the shoes absorb the stink.

Any how, I got to go to get coffee and fill up cup #7. (Come to think of it, maybe it's all this walking to to coffee machine.)

Lucky for the ladies, no need to clean my cup. After all I only clean it when I go on holidays. The coffee tasted better in my cup when it is 'cured'.

'bhayne looking in awe' You mean I shot that inocent animal after someone enticed it with a chicken bone? Well, at least I prevented it from choking!

Better clean up this mess before someone notices. Luckily, coffee removes all these stains.

Hey, J-9, does that qualify me for preventative first aid (it croaked but it didn't choke)?

    Yes, thunderstorms, tornado watches!!

    How fun!! What excitement!!

Time for a party on the patio to watch the light show as soon as it gets dark.

The wings and skins are a cooking

We need some GOOD chips and dip (homemade preferably)

Who is going to bring what!?

Aw crap... too late to join the party?

I've got a fifth of vodka, a half gallon of lemonade, a gallon of sissy chilly (not too hot), two jars of jalapeņos, and at least six pop tarts (choco iced).

I've shared a fantastic sav. Blanc with my wife this eve after cooking a great dinner (sauteed tiliapa, asparagus, and shrimp cocktail) followed by two hard lemonades and chocolate cookies (not necess in that order) and the reading of buzzy's boo bo and curious george goes to the beach to my cute and naughty 2 year old before bed. Does that get me in the door?

We just had a good soaker, and now the sun has come out its hot and humid and there is no evidence anywhere that it rained. That's okay there is a tornado watch for north Texas so we'll get something whatever it is.

Is this your time of year for unpredictable weather? We can always rely on wet and cool here in Ontario. My daughter is in Florida and we are always listening for hurricanes hitting their area.

Tornado season in Texas and when they happen they happen fast
  • Sep 24, 2006, 07:18 AM
    J_9
Oh, yes, deluge rain season, along with Tornados here in Tennessee.

You never know where I live. They come from the west and when they hit the Mississippi river they either blow up and get extremely bad, or just disappear.

Okay, here we are 1891, that was a long time ago LOL

Time to get into the 1900s now!!

I have a terrible math test tomorrow, along with my drug test, so I will only be here for a few more minutes.

It's going to take a long time to study how to pee in a cup!!

    Okay, T pass the pee.

Well, unless you FedEx it I won't get it in time LOL

Ah, I am not worried about it. All I have to list is my HBP meds and I will pass with flying colors. Now I wish I could say that about my dosage calculations test!!

Welcome, welcome Detroit, love the dog pix, yours? You'll find that working on your house will become eternal. Just when you've finished one project, you'll find another waiting. It's exciting. Remember to take lots of pictures of before and after, they're fun to look at years down the line.

Wait until you have to sand all the drywall. Two years ago we removed all the drywall in our home on the inside exterior walls. We insulated as there was none at all. We get cold Canadian winters. We lived in the house with all the mess including 3 bedrooms worth of furniture in the living room dining room combination. NEVER NEVER NEVER again. I ran my daycare business out of the house at the same time. 6 weeks of pure hell. I must have been out of my mind. Our heating costs went down considerably, but I'm not sure if it was my heated temper that did that. Good Luck.

Yeah the dog pic is mine he's a great pyrenesee, newfoundland mix round 1 yr old and pushing 110 lbs. biggest baby you'll ever meet.

And for the house I've been sanding drywall over the past month, and I'm getting really tired of it but it needs done. We had the same problem here tore down the old plaster, and looking at the outside sheathing, so I insulated the cavities
    And hung drywall.

All while watching and playing with my kids:)

Well, dosage calculations test is over, and drug test has been taken care of.

Next comes the head-to-toe exam tomorrow. Wow there is a lot to cover in a health assessment!!

Anyone want to volunteer for me to practice? Oh, yeah, got to practice vital signs too.
