Reb, I am hoping to use my nights after work to get started on some great Christmas presents, I need some ideas that will require me making gifts for over twenty people, and I would love to personalize them! I kind of know the feeling you shared about your daughter. I am the youngest and the other two are older. They were always getting to do fun stuff because they were older and I felt left out some but I made my own fun!! Tell your daughter, she is not alone in feeling the way she does but the true picture will emerge of how important she is to those brothers. Seems when we are younger, these brothers don't value us as much as in later years.Quote:

Starty, you bored?
Well, it's official, I don't like the way the painting is turning out. I'm very sure it's the fact that I only really have two brushes right now that aren't completely ruined. All of my dad's and my supplies were in storage for over 7 years, I didn't care for them properly. Also, the oil paints that came with a present I got last year are very poor quality, also there where only 9 colors and a tiny tube of white. Anyway, I don't think I'll finish it, but Starby said she likes it so I'll send it to her as is even though it's not done.
Birthday is coming up, hopefully hubby will take the hint and get me some new supplies. Hint, hint hubby. :)
Can you just post it and let me be the judge of that?
Put the supplies on your most wanted list and go for broke!
It's not done though, and I hate it.
Okay, I'll post it, but I want to go on the record saying I really don't like it, feel free to pick it apart, goodness knows I already have.
Oh, and it's not done, just the base is done, I'd have to spend a few more days on it in order to finish it, and I'd have to go shopping first. ;)

I don't think it is bad. I like it. Remember, you have to get into the saddle again... let it go, don't try so hard. Feel it. I know when I do anything to do with art or a craft, I have to stop when I don't feel it. I want to get it done, so I do it and I get unhappy with it. I do like it Alty, I don't think this is bad at all. You may feel as if you can do better. That is OK. Keep on going... I say finish it when you get the supplies and see what happens... ;)
I really do like it! I hope Rebby sees it... she knows so much about art.
I won't give up, I'll try again when I get new supplies, but not this picture, I really, really don't like it at all, can't imagine trying to finish it, it just makes me angry to look at it. Sorry, I'm a bit pissy about that picture. ;)
I think I should stick to what I know, animals and winter scenes, apparently trees with leaves are too much to ask. ;)
YOu know what you are comfy with, I trust you will do just fine. If you don't like it... then leave it!;)
I love art... and I love the feeling of looking at it, all the thoughts and feeling I would have had with every stroke, stitch, or whatever... sometimes, I get teary eyes and sometimes I laugh. That is the love of art for me.
Ok... I think I am going on and on and seriously... I need to rest... I have a long long week still... awwww poor me... LOL

Hum.. I wonder why you are so frustrated at your painting... that's lot more better tham mine! But it's fine, for sure. Perhaps the blue road/alley/path? That is the only thing that I see which can frustrate you...
