That biggie is a Sydney Funnel Web spider (Google it) , they can KILL!!
I've heard about funnel web spiders, there are a few different species as far as I remember, and all are very dangerous. The most dangerous we have around here is probably black widows. None of them brown recluses over here, that's on the other coast :)

We have black widows here too Biggie! I had a friend who let her kid have one as a pet. They put it in a jar with pantyhose over the top. The widow had babies, and they were so tiny that they all got out, and her house was infested with black widows!
