I'm glad your Moma is coming to take care of you! :) But tell her you could've had a free boat... or at least a free ride in the back of one to Canada, LOL!

Trust me hun, I wouldn't do that to you! You don't need to do a road trip with my parents. ;) I not that inconsiderate, hehe. I've been there, done that. It's no picnic! 5 straight 12 hr days of listening to B#%@*-in and complaining, and a screaching parrot! I was almost ready to walk the rest of the way once we hit the border. Or considered asking the border patrol if they would arrest me and put me in a safe place! Hahahahaha!

    Wow... a screeching parrot... interesting...

Road trips were always a blast in my family, course, I was an only child until 10 when my brother came along... :)

Well my Mom packs the SUV to the hilt, and you can't even move in there. I swore to God I was going to set that Parrot free somewhere along the interstate! LOL! You know I wouldn't do that... but the thought sure crossed my mind after 5/ 12 hr days with Paulie screeching in my ear all the way home.

Oops, got distracted! My bro just called to to tell me that my mom just called him, and to brag about his boat! Urrggghhh. He just got a bit of a blast, and he hung up on me. I expected as much... to quote you... RAH!

I think I'll just put up a sign with the letters B.O.B. on it... let them figure it out! LMAO!

Haha... It isn't any of the above actually. I have had the nickname for over 15 yrs.

It started when I played for a baseball team, and a guy I knew came up to me and said, we have to win this game tonight! Let's let "Jo Jo Starbuck-buck" get us going! I realised he was talking about me. Someone said... why buck-buck, and he said... I don't want to bet much more on her game! LOL! So, ever since then, I've been known as Starbuck, and several other variations,. such as bucky, bucket,. some are too rude to even say, haha!

So that's the legend of Starby! LOL

Ladies, ladies... dancing on the bar... what's going on?

... finally, the week is over.

I just had a weird thing happen today...

A company that I worked for last year, who refused to pay me for my contract work, just... out of the blue... sent me a check today. It was... quite bizarre. I guess it's to offset my $75 fee for getting the boot yesterday? No idea. Regardless, I'm a happy camper.

I am... very exhausted... but to keep my shape up for HC, I must grab an apple and drag myself to the gym.

No worries, starby, I'll work out your arms for you.

I walked into Chicky's café as a junior, and I'm leaving Alty's pub as a senior! ALTY!. what the heck have you been putting in my drinks?? I hope it's a wrinkle serum!

I'm going to need the first kleenex box at Sneezy's! And... I want to be called Senior-ita please and thank you... ::waahhh, sniff, sniff, waahhh::

Drink... the wonders and woes of it...

It happens starby, turn around and the bar is empty, cleaning crew is coming in the door, sun starting to shine through the windows and "Good Morning America" is blaring on the TV. And you are trying to remember who was it last night that called you "ma'am?"

Ask me how I know... I was the original burner of that candle with wicks on both ends. But it is only a title of respect, that is what I was told when I said; "please do not call me SIR!"

But; relief, it seems we go from "Senior" to "Ultra" very quickly... that's good, isn't it.. right?

Aw Stringer, that was lovely, brought tears to my eyes.

The first time I was called Ma'am I looked around to see if anyone else was there because he couldn't have been talking to me. I looked him straight in the eye and said, it's not Ma'am is Wonderwomen thank you very much. He laughed, I laughed, he got to live, I left. It ended well. ;)

Well I guess I'll have to take the advice from wise ole Stringer, and Wonderwoman. But, if some snot nosed little kid comes up and calls me maaaammm, I think I might just knock er out of er socks, and she can wipe her snotty little nose with them.

There! Have I passed the grumpy ole lady test now? Hehehe!
  • Apr 19, 2008, 11:26 AM
