    Drinking alcohol shrinks the brain.
WEDNESDAY, May 2 (HealthDay News) -- While it might help your heart, drinking even moderately could shrink your brain, U.S. researchers say.

"A small amount of alcohol is beneficial for the heart," noted lead researcher Carol Ann Paul, "but there is a continuous negative correlation between alcohol consumption and total brain volume. It seems that there is not a beneficial effect of even small amounts of alcohol on brain volume."

Well, this explains a lot! Like every time I lean my head to the left or the right, it sounds like a bowling ball rolling down the ally and crashing into the wall. And I just thought I was going crazy! Whew!

Oh, just jerky people are getting to me lately!!

Just a buch of strange happenings here on AMHD

Like I would never let my beautiful 13 year old daughter date a 17 year old boy, but some people think it is okay.

    I just don't get it.

    J9,

That's why I posted that 'trolling' thread. I'm not sure those are legitimate posts. Or maybe I'm hoping they are not.

You both have beautiful hearts, Ruby just likes to bear her teeth every once in a while to keep us all in check though.

I am going to check that out too NK before I look at others.

AH, thank you for your kindness. J_9 is actually right on target. I just cannot stand by watching some things that take place. And, I am thinking all the weird stuff going on is part of the cycle I talked about a couple of months ago on another thread. I think there is a direct correlation to the change of weather and seasons. I am very, very frustrated this week with some people.

Good thing to hear I am not the only frustrated one Ruby!!

Rather though, I am getting quite bent out of shape, so I take a deep breath, close my eyes, think of the snowy mountains, and voilą, I feel good again.

I am doing the same thing and have decided that I need to spend less time here for a few days before I blow my cool. I think it is important to not go off on people and I am hitting my brick wall over the past couple of days.

Oh AH. You always brighten my day. Yes, J_9, I am planning on doing that in a few minutes. We have had a thunderstorm and it looks like it is clearing for the moment. Before the next wave hits, both the dog and I, need to stretch our legs and breathe some fresh air.

I love you all. You keep me grounded and reaffirm that I am not losing my grip on my sanity. Some days are just harder than others but thankfully, I have my girls to help me through it. Catch y'all later. MWAH!

Before I go, Emmy & Tusc, you are included in my "love" group along with many others. Hey, if you can't have a place to go to let off a little steam and act like an idjut, you will blow your top! So, Emmy, yes I am gauging my sanity by this lot. I don't need a lot of sanity. A little will suffice. ;)

Me too J-9. When we had our other little guy ( he was supposed to be a maltese, but we think he was puppymill, but loved him soooo much) anyway, our "son" was petrified of storms. So hubby and I could never really enjoy them. It is the only time he would let me pick him up. During a storm, I used to rock him back and forth. He was so scared.
But now he is in doggy heaven. He gave us 15 incredible years. Storms always remind me of him.

But nothing like a good thunderstorm.

Sheesh, I hope my gals DON'T try to jump in my lap. Two are over 100 pounds and Lou (the bassett hound) is over 40 pounds.

It is funny because Tuscany wants to be held all the time. Ollie on the other hand is all about independence. He turns his tail at being held every chance he has.

Tammy Faye Baker is losing here battle with cancer and for that I offer my deepest condolences to her family. It is just her time I guess.
I guess it is also time for me to dump my stock in the Max Factor and Maybelene Make up manufacturing sector. I guess a put option might be in order. Too bad there isn't a cosmetic index. A June put with no stops!

My gosh magprob. You need to replenish your supply of Spam to calm yourself. You are getting very vicious. That usually occurs when you aren't able to satify those spammy cravings. I suggest purchasing in bulk again, as soon as possible.

While I enjoy the banter that we share here on AMHD. Please don't ever ask me over for a Spam Burger :)

Not even if it is encrusted in gold.

    But thanks :)

Perhaps. I have tried the stuff... but I can honestly say that it is not my most favorite thing in the world.
