    What's a reddie?

Only joking.. I've had my share.

The idea is to offer advice or solutions, the rep system is for the members.
The option is there to turn it off if you wanted..

Really? You can turn it off? I don't want to but that is interesting. You had me going with not knowing what a reddie was. I have gotten 9 reddies in my time and 76 greenies. Haha. Pretty sad. Have you ever noticed how Fr_chuck's bar is full sometimes and other times it is blue or whatever that color is.

You can turn on and off the rep system..

I think a blue square means its off.

There is a thread discussion on the rep system, its really good.. you should check it out when you get a chance.

I will have to do that. I don't give a lot of time to here but I try to sometimes. I am at work for 9 hours a day and I get busy sometimes and most of the time I spend catching up here in the castle or trying to catch up. I just feel addicted to this.

Thank you red. I appreciate it. I am trying it out. I can handle a post that has only 3 posts but when it has around 15 posts or more then what I would say has already been said.

    Good morning (or whatever) everyone,

I'm at a client's office this week so I have to behave myself... for the most part. I'm just taking a short break. :)

No, not really. I think I am coming down with a cold, so I am immediately heading home after work and crawling into bed. I cannot wait!

    How are things with you?

I know so many people coming down with a cold now. Straight to bed sounds like a good idea.

Good. I threw a little dinner party last night - my homemade cioppino. It was so good, if I do say so. I also bought my tickets yesterday for the game - pat, pat. :)

Sounds like an overall productive day for you. What is cioppino? I assume it is Italian, and yes, I am too lazy to Google it.

It is an Italian fish stew - tomato base, full of fish (usually cod), shrimp, crab, sometimes lobster. That, plus hot sourdough bread, a salad, wine... :D

Sounds good for those that do seafood. I tend to be a picky eater, so I would have had to stick to the bread, salad, and of course some wine. I am sure it was very tasty though. :)

    Hi Alty,

I love grilled cheese sandwiches and tomato soup. Now I'm ready for lunch... just 30 more minutes. :)

That doesn't sound all that good. I'm making corned beef and cabbage this week. Our weather is going to suddenly turn cold on Wednesday - from the 90's to the 60's. Time for winter dinners.

In the later winter, our norm is 20-35. I've seen it as cold as -15, but that's rare. We only get snow about 6-10 days a year, and usually just inches. The best thing is that I can be to the ski resorts in 20 minutes, and to Tahoe skiing in less than an hour. :)

    Winter sucks.

I'm too tired to convert it, so you'll all have to figure it out, but our winters can get pretty darn cold, -30 celsius is not unheard of. The norm is in the -10 to -20 range. It's gotten into the -50's, then the whole country just stops. No school, no work, cars won't start, water lines freeze, it's bad.

I just had a plate of leftover onion rings. I made them last night. I'm going to regret this later. :(

I have been meaning to convert your stuff when you say it Alty but I am also to lazy to do it. Here in Indiana weather changes a lot. Hell, it was in the high eighties a week ago and now it is in the mid 60's. Sometimes in mid winter it coud be 30 one day and then 60 something the next day then back to 30 the day after that. Crazy stuff

    Okay lazy bum.

    I converted it.

    Apparently -30C is -22F, -50C = -58F and -40C is -40F.

    There. :)

I actually looked it up. I am so confused by it. Why didn't they make things like that all the same. Same thing with Standard and metric. I hate metric and I am sure others hate standard

Well Adam, that's what happens when you have several people looking for the same thing in different parts of the world and they hate each other...

From England, you have the lord Kelvin, who invented the Kelvin scale (another unit for temperture)
From Germany, you have Fahrenheit (wikipedia)
From Sweden, you have Celsius (wikipedia)
