I sit here the morning with a brand new (well kinda) HP laptop hubby surprised me with last night. Woo Hoooooo!!

I got to figure out all this other stuff, and what to keep, what to get rid of. You see, we have a friend who works at the Board of Education. This Laptop was give to one of the teachers and after a couple of months the teacher said that it did not work properly. So he got a new one, and our friend checked this out and it works fine, so it went up for sale, really cheap, like $150.

I'll just have to leave it home when I go to school so that I am not tempted to be here. LOL

I love my laptop its my best friend :D

Had to switch back to the PC. Couldn't get used to the laptop.

You will it does take some getting use to but I prefer a touch pad to a mouse now

I was having a hard time not reaching for the mouse. LOL

Hehehehehehe its so much easier I love the pad to bits the double click with the finer on it is fab lol drag and drop takes some getting used to though.

That'll probably take me a while, I'm not good with change. LOL

I resist getting a laptop because I just don't like the crowded keypad. Guess I'm going to need one, though, if I'm going to do the real estate thing.

Any suggestions on a good brand with a fair price?

I love the keyboard, but getting used to the touch pad and everything. Also, I don't think I need all of this stuff that is on here. But I can't find some of them in Control Panel.

Hey, laptop talk. I simply can't help myself!

My laptop is the closest thing I have to a wife. Between the nagging, the need for constant attention, and the complaints about the floppy, I don't ever have to get married.

I splurged and got a second power cord for it... Now I always have a cord at my desk and on the end table where I use it when gaming or watching movies (perma IMDB link).

I hate hate hate hate hate the touchpad. At the same time, I hate the hassle of dealing with making space for the mouse. So I got me a trackball... moves the pointing device away from the keyboard (that adjacency was among the largest problems, doesn't require any surface area, and is great for my carpal tunnel.

I also have an attachable numpad, so I can 10-key when doing data entry. Not so important now, but that was a lifesaver for a while there.
