I'm sure I'm too late, but I'd go with Ms. too. ;) I once addressed a letter to a boss, who I was friendly with out side of work and knew her hubby and kids very well, as Mrs.xxx She actually found it insulting. Go figure.

I've also been on the other end. There was an elderly lady in the office one day, I said hello Ms. Blah Blah, she stood there and cursed me out "I've been married for 30+ years I am a MISSUUSS!" lol. No winning for me.

Down South we avoid the problem altogether. Every female is "Miz ...(first name)." So, Miz Bella, we always respect our wimen folk. Some of them Yankees think it's degrading, but they don't know how to say "please" and "thank you" neither.

If you'd like to develop one, start by deleting the "ow" and the "r" sounds from your speech. Use "uh" and "ah" instead. Dollahs to dohnuts the Newfies ahruhnd you will think yoah Suthahn.

My friends out west already think I talk funny,if I started doing that they would think I went mad. But every time I read yours or Cat's posts I will read it like that.

Why not call and ask to speak to the person. Just ask if the position is still open, when you get to talk to them. The voice should give you gender.

Ok, I'm done for now, you won't see me in the forbidden section again, I'm back on v2.

When you are learning the Butterfly Stroke you tell me, that's another difficult swim :)

Ok, my time is up... I've been here practically for 12 hours today
