Summer is nice here, although not as nice as your weather, to us it's great!

Winter, well, unless you're accostomed to it -30 will kill you.

If you insist on coming in the winter then you're going to have to pack well. Long underwear, thermal socks, a really warm jacket, sweaters, mittens, hats, scarf, snow pants, boots, and more.

The worst part of winter is when the kids want to go outside. It takes around 10 minutes to get all the winter gear on, and it's inevitable that as soon as the last item is put on, they have to pee. Yup, such is life in Canada. ;)

LMAO! Well, I can refrain from peeing... for about 2 hours... sometimes even more... lol

In winter, when you feel the first stirrings you go, because it takes a while to get all the gear off. You don't wait until it's urgent, otherwise you may pee your pants. ;)

I just found out that the bit of hope I had getting my passport renewed right here in Edmonton is a no go.

I found a German consulate in Edmonton. Now I know why it didn't show up when I searched German passport renewal. They don't have the darn finger print machine. :(

They may get one in fall of 2009. I guess I could wait until then. I hope none of my German relatives die before then. Okay, bad joke. ;)

The funny thing was, I wrote them an email, in english of course, and they wrote me back in german. Okay, yes, German citizen, but I've been living in Canada since I was 3 1/2 year old. I do speaka the english. ;)

Thank goodness I can read German, otherwise that would have been such a waste of time. ;)

I've been planning to go to LA for the last year, but the passport (or lack thereof) is keeping me here.

I have a good friend there, actually, he's an ex, but we're still good friends. Better friends then we were anything else.

He would like me to visit. He's been in LA for the last 10 years, all his family and friends are here.

I'd like to go for a week. Hubby would stay here with the kids. I need a vacation! ;)

Oh, and I love you girls too, it's just that boys have things you don't. ;)
