M, "long day" doesn't even begin to explain. Alty's right. I feel like I got violated by a ten foot pole... and it's a personal preference that I don't like being violated by anything other than a petite woman.

Had a "surprise" inspection today.

The WONDERFUL thing about my county is... during a surprise inspection, the restaurant is to close.. . they came at NOON.. . there goes our lunch crowd.

Another wonderful thing is that we're not supposed to have food out in the kitchen. NO FOOD IN THE KITCHEN? That's right. Food is supposed to stay in the walk-in freezer. So, when a customer orders, the cooks go into the kitchen, gets the food out, then cooks it. Well, during lunch/dinner rushes, we keep the food out, instead of going back and forth into the freezer, then we properly place the food into the freezer after the rushes.

Nope, the dude came during lunch rush. So... "there's food out...that's 10 points"... "there's trash on the tables...that's 5 points"...

I failed my first inspection. There will be a re-inspection next week.. . but oh boy.
