Sorry I did not get back sooner. I was looking something up for somebody. Anyway I don't blame you for being tired. I am going to the gym and getting a new workout if it works out real good I will list it for you tomorrow when I see you on and only if you want. I hear it is a beater though.

    Hi kids.

Okay, remember that my arm was sore yesterday because I played darts? Well I decided that I had to push through the pain, work up those muscles, continue playing darts and hope that in a day or two it wouldn't hurt anymore because my arm would get used to it.

Bad idea! Really bad idea! I can't straighten my arm. I am in a great deal of pain!

So what now? I can no longer throw the darts, so I can't push through, that's probably a good thing. Any suggestions how to get that arm to stop complaining like a big whiny baby?

Well Alty, I hit the weights to hard the other day and my harms would not straighten out all the way unless I massaged them while straightening them. Just try to keep them stretched out as much as possible. That is about all I can say and in a day or two they will feel a lot better.

I'll try the massage. I was thinking of putting ice on it too.

Jared wants to play another game of darts. Right now even trying to throw is just too painful.

Hmmm, maybe I should play, he'd finally have a shot at beating me. Do you know how hard it is to let someone win at darts? ;)

No worries adam, sure pm me your workout, I'm going in on Thursday and planning one out with one of the trainers

Wow, Alty you must really be committed to winning at darts no matter what the cost :D

Seriously though maybe give your muscles a rest :o can't have you pulling a muscle now can we

As for muscle pain, I have these heat spray things, like those heat wraps, but in spray form, it just helps to loosen the muscles :)

I know you can also get some muscle rub which you could probably get R to massage in for you ;)

R's massages are painful. I think I'll pass on that. ;)

Heat usually makes things worse for me, that's why I was thinking ice. I may try both, alternate between them.

I'm good at darts, it's one of the only games I can kick arse in. Of course beating an 11 year old isn't that much fun. No sport in that. ;)

    You want to play Bear?

Syd and Jared just took the dogs (Jasper and Chewy) for a long walk.

We have a field behind our cul-de-sac, so they went there, ran around, had fun.

All of a sudden Syd comes running inside asking for a bucket. I ask why, she says, no time to tell you, I just need a bucket and I need to fill it with water. Now I'm worried. She assures me that nothing is wrong, and she'll tell me why when she gets back.

Okay, so I get a bucket, fill it with water.

Around 10 minutes later she comes home, all excited, sweating, and tells me that the bucket of water was for a dog she met in the field.

    Huh?

She then tells me that she got to pet a horse and is going riding later. What? We live in the burbs, horses aren't allowed here!

Well apparently there was couple that were travelling with their horse and dog. They saw the field and decided to let the animals stretch their legs for a bit.

It's a hot day and they had no water, so Syd said she'd get some, hence the bucket.

The people were so grateful that they said Syn could have a ride on the horse. Syd said she'd have to ask me first. Well sadly the people couldn't stay, so Syd just petted the horse and then came home.

I know it may not sound like a big deal, but a horse in our neighborhood, well, she may as well have spotted big foot. ;)

I better start practicing, push through the pain so I can kick your arse. :)

It's be a blast. We can play darts, watch movies, go out on the town, play with the kids, pet horses, get buckets of water for strangers dogs.

Actually, the more I think about that, the more concerned I am about the fact that my daughter just goes up to random strangers just because they have a horse.

We had a little talk about it. We may live in a safe neighborhood, but there are crazies everywhere.

    Exactly.

She tends to be shy, doesn't usually approach people, but if they have an animal, she tends to think that makes them safe.

The scary "Hey little girl, would you like to see my puppy" scenario is the thing I'm most afraid of. She'd go with that person in a heart beat, wouldn't remember what I told her at all. :(

That's a fear with all parents,

But if you don't want to be seriously overprotective, I guess you just have to teach them to be careful and trust them :), at least if they're out togeather she has her brother to watch out for her as well :)

That's true. I'm glad that Jared is at least willing to go out on walks with her. He's very protective and much more cautious then Syd. He wouldn't go to get the water because the people had said "leave your dogs here, we'll watch them" and Jared was afraid they'd steal Chewy.

Smart one there alty, not saying they would have, but he deffinetly made a smart decision there :)

I'm going to head off for the night, really tired and worn out, so I'm going to relax on my sofa with a tub of mint choc chip ice cream and watch a movie, 'the prestige'

    Night Alty, take care :)

Alty try 15 minute intervals of ice and heat. Remember RICE Rest, Ice, Circulation and Exercise. I think that's what it was. Grade 8 health class was a long time ago...

Enjoy the movie Bear, I hear it was a good one.

    At home, in the garage.

Our garage is kind of the place where we do all the stuff we don't want to do in the house.

The darts are outside because we let the kids play, and they often miss the board. I can handle holes in the wall in the garage, but no so much in the house. ;)

Ice is a bad idea. It actually makes your muscles tighten. Heat will help them loosen. If you don't have any heat packs, then try relaxing in a hot bath. I know, not exactly ideal weather for a hot bath, but it should help your arms feel better.

Midol is one of the best anti inflamatories and it has an IB bufforen (spelling) So that may help with the swelling in the muscle.

    Hmmm.

I knew a couple who liked to play strip darts.

    Never appealed to me.

But your post makes me rethink the storage above the garage retractable ladder...

A little drywall and some A/C and it could be a little love pad... certainly worth the storage rental for the crap id have to move.

Sawdust doesn't do it for me.

But when you say "bent over" to a boy when you're talking about sex, all that comes after is just lost... its still sexy no matter what. "bent over blah blah blah"

Its like telling a dog "eating trash is bad"... all they hear is "eat trash"...

    Ugly turn there.

Just saying "bent over" about anything is still sexy to the boy in back...
