Yup, lawnmowers and dirty puppy feet, that's what the day is bringing. I think it's doggy doo doo pick up time. I might get company soon, I want the backyard to be clean for her doggy when they come over. Nope can't have the guests stepping in dog poo, that's not good etiquette. ;)
M loves the attention, all of us girls fawning all over him, the lucky guy. :)

I'm good. Not quite ready to cut the grass yet, still not sure that it won't snow at least one more time. The kids are outside playing, riding their bikes and getting dirty, you know, kid stuff, oh how I long to be a kid again. :)

11 pm, wow, it's only 5pm here right now. I'm just about to make some dinner and give the kids a bath, they are very dirty, but rosy cheeked and happy. I love warm days in spring, perfect time to spend outdoors.

Hey ladies.
It's been... a while. Heh. It hasn't been that crazy of a weekend.
I ran into HBI girl at the martini night at the aquarium... we talked for a little bit, then we parted ways as we were there with separate groups. Nothing biggie. Following alty's advice.. I'm moving onward! Then I had dinner plans with hot persian girl (HPG) but she didn't end up picking up my call... I got stood up. First time, too. It's an interesting feeling. It was OK. I regrouped, went to my buddy's place, got some food, and we hung out... then we went to a salsa club (another first time)... hung around there, got back.
I look around my room now... and it's a filthy doggone mess. I should have known... I did nothing but trash my room the entire week of finals. I will be cleaning my room, giving lily a bath, and just taking the night off tonight... sorta. I have plans to go out again later tonight, but we'll see.
How's everyone doing?
P.S. - I put in a bid for another sports bar (the other one fell through... ) and the offer was just accepted last night. After I come back from Europe in June, I own the place :)

Salsa club, that sounds fun, wish I could have come, I wouldn't have stood you up sweetie, never in a million years. :)
My weekend has consisted of talking with a good friend for hours on the phone, we have the gift of gab, and watching my kids ride their bikes. Sydney got a new bike last year right before winter hit, she just learned to ride a two wheeler last year too. The first few times on the bike today were a bit rocky, but she's got the hang of it now. They sure grow up fast, what happened to my baby, she's riding a two wheeler, before I know it she'll be getting in to some tattooed, pierced, multi colored hair guys van and going on a date. OVER MY DEAD BODY! Whew, tell me it will be a few years before I have to worry. :)
I've got company coming Monday week, so I'm cleaning this weekend.
The whiskey and lemons were terrific, Laura.
The snuggling was better, though ;)

If someone comes to your front door saying they are checking for ticks due to the warm weather and asks you to take your clothes off and dance around with your arms up, DO NOT DO IT! THIS IS A SCAM! They only want to see you naked.

Altenweg is my last name, it's very, very German, it literally means "old way, or old path", I wasn't very original when I first joined, couldn't come up with something better. ;)
That's a rad last name.. Since you guys and other interneters don't know my first name, I suppose divulging my last name won't kill either. Mine's Boomhower, originally spelt Boomhauer, also German. If you've ever seen "King of the Hill" then you know the stupid questions and jokes people come up with.
Although my first name does intiate some conversation...

Okay, bunny stories. I have three wonderful bunnies, Cotton, my avatar (pet store purchase, before we knew better), Thumper, (a poor little tyke, he's had a hard life, we rescued him from the SPCA), and last but definitely not least, Oreo, (she was given to us by my neighbors friend, they didn't want her anymore). I also have two dogs, a 13 year old lab (our friends dog had puppies, he was one of them) and a 7 years old border collie cross (another tough life SPCA rescue). One cockatiel, (original owner were allergic) and a 27 cent goldfish that will outlive us all. Add to that two kids, one hubby and me, and it's a very full house.
How about you, any pets? Should I guess, perhaps a chihuahua? :)
